Shreeder's Lifestyle Here and Afar
This journal is my life, which is very crazy, and currently in Japan!
Kanashimi wa......
if you know the rest of that song lyric in the Title, sing it loud!

Anyway, I havent updated this in a while because, simply put, stuff has been Crazy. Notice the captial C? Thats because it means Crazy x 205. That means....

Baseball games. Isekayas. Gaikokujin. Break Dancing. Onigiris on SaiGawa. Chinese kids. 6:30am. Sunflowers. Peaches. Future plans. Hostess bars. Tequila.

Japan.

So lets start off with the baseball game, shall we? So I believe it was last week, and the Best 8 of Ishikawa High School baseball started, and I got to go see a Best 4 game, directly behind home plate in the Announcer booth. Of course, you could see my American, aviator-sunglass clad face on TV, so a lot of people thought I was an MLB scout (sweet). So I watched SeiRyou (Matsui's high school) beat the pants of the favorite Komatsu and their 140km/h pitcher. Later I got to watch the interview with him as he was histerically bawling his eyes out. Oh Japanese media and their incredible lack of pity.

So yeah, Baseball. I dont remember what I did that afternoon, but it most likely involved:

a) drinking. b) dancing c) drinking and dancing. Also, that week I went back to my favorite Ramen place, and he gave me a free Ramen-ya teeshirt as a memory. I'll never forget that place.

So, I'm just gonna get to the cool stuff as best as I can. Let's see.... work wise, I went to a Peach collecting facility where they distribute Kanazawa's peaches. The first batch was 1 ton of peaches (I have one in my refridgerator right now!), but the best part was that I got to meet a guy named Suda-san, who was absolutely hilarious. He works for Asahi Housou, and he was literally ridiculous. "Momo wa takai. Watashi mo...takai." Cool cat.

Man, so this weekend = me spending every last dollar I had and going clubbing like retarded with Penny. Friday- I was by myself, did some techno and then hit a bunch of bars and what not. I was really tired so I didnt do all too much. Saturday - New School class at Manier where I met some cool sensei and then hit Banana Chips with Penners. We drank and whole bunch and met some pretty wasted people (that girl in the kimono? oh man, SO drunk), and then we went to Manier for some CRAZY hip hop. Penny fell asleep; I actually fell on the ground.... but it was fun. Add some Apres bar hopping and meeting more foreigners....

Eventually we ended the night (morning?) basked in sunlight on Saigawa Bridge, eating Onigiris (Penny got some elaborate Chirashi stuff) while looking over the river and what not.

Was intense. Thanks for the good night Pennochio.

Anyway, that night was huge. HUGE. I had a great time, and Sunday, I went back out and shopped a lot more, buying my host family some chopsticks.

ALSO! I have a French kid and a Chinese kid living in my house now, and the Chinese kid is VERY Pera pera da yo. Like no joke, fluent in Japanese. Really inspirational.

However, today at work, I went to a Sunflower Maze, got lost a bit, but took lots of pictures. Afterwards, I saw the evening news and what not, and other co-workers paid for my lunch and s**t, which was fantastic.

But afterwards I met Soda-san, worker at the Ishikawa Prefectural government. He explained to me the basic functions of METI over a FANTASTIC elaborate dinner, with girls in Kimonos and everything, sitting in one room for ourselves and what not... it was fantastic and I learned so much. He also said that if I needed a job after I graduate to contact him asap.

So afterwards....

Viewer Discretion Advised.

He asked me if I wanted an Onesan. Older sister? wtf...?

So we go to a Hostess bar and I have a fantastic time meeting girls and drinking whiskey. The girls rotate and I get to talk to them, get email addresses and what not. Soda is a really great guy, and I am so glad I met him and got to see what the Japanese work ethic is like, and all that. Tonight was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am so glad I got to take it. I cannot fathom that I will ever forget this night and all the people I met, how hospitable Soda was and how much fun I had. My future plans started to explode in my head and now my entire way of thinking has changed so dramatically....

.... Japan.

What will I do?
