It's been awhile since my last entry. Alot has happened. First, our District Manager (or DM) came in, by surprise, and was VERY unhappy with the condition of the store. She wrote me up for "failure to perform tasks to full extent" which meant I was in trouble. Then I got word, she's comming on Monday...

But a few days ago, I raised the condition of the store to a more reasonable level to where the store manager was happy.

(From here on is what happened only today)
Today, our order came in...no big surprise. However, the order was HUGE!!!! Boxes EVERYWHERE when I walked in! Dang...my co-worker must have had a field day ripping appart those boxes... blaugh

And my friend from high school, and fellow Gaian Kohaku Yeffung came all the way to the mall I work at!!!! Seeing her (after...2 years... eek exclaim ) made me so happy!!!!!!! Kohaku, I miss hanging out with you!!!!!! crying Your visit was the highlight of my day!!!!!!!

And of coarse, what's a day without it's troubles? The "I can outrun the security guard" boys came into the store and stole something, according to a customer. It's not easy to tend to a customer, and watch troublemakers at the same time you know...I only have two eyes...But the next time they come in...I'm gonna tell them that they've been banned. They deserve it. 3nodding

And I couldn't believe it when one lady bought 50 Zotz candies! All watermelon and cherry (The only one she didn't take was Apple). And that nearly cleaned us out of those flavors XD Now we're mostly down to the lesser popular flavor...

What stinks is that today, we didn't make our sales goal by closing time. Which means we were forced to stay open for 15 more minutes to make a lousy $11. Luckly, we made it within that 15 minutes and I was able to close. This also lead to me getting out of the store a half hour later then normal...

I scared myself silly...AGAIN with ANOTHER missing $20 scare...^^' No, this isn't your fault Masked-Moon. xp After a few re-counts, I was safe. Heheh.

So, today has been pretty eventful. 3nodding

Work related rantings for the day:
1) Parents, watch your kids! They ALWAYS get into SOMETHING regardless of what you say. They're way too destracted by candy, they don't listen.

2) Parents...I have but one suggestion to you if you have a young child (I'm talking...3...maybe 2 years or younger). STROLLERS AND HARNESSES are a candy store employee's (and possibly yours if your child is awfully curious and loves to run around ahead of you...) best friend. Strollers limit a child's reach to candy while you are getting candy yourself. Harnesses, for parents PASSING a candy store means thier kids won't stand a chance at nabbing (or should I say, stealing) candy with their bare fingers which have been who knows where...

3) Parents with strollers: Stroller seated children WILL reach for the candy still. They are persistant. If they can't comfortably reach it, they will try to squirm out and reach. Keep the stroller a good distance from a bin and everyone will be happy! (Well...except for the child, but tough luck!)

4) Parents...I know little kids are precious little gifts that bring love to everyone...but that doesn't mean they can't do anything wrong! Bring them into a candy store, and they WILL wreak havoc breaking every little rule (not that adults haven't done so themselves...), and who gets yelled at most of the time? The store employee, who is only doing their job keeping grubby little fingers probably ridden with kid drool into a nice, SANITARY bin of candy. We are not the ones doing anything wrong. We are doing our job. We hold the food cards, we know what's sanitary and what's not. It is our job to keep things sanitary. And kids NEVER help the issue. It's the children that are the wrong-doers! Sure...they don't know what they're doing is wrong...but that's beside the point! Try to teach them IN a candy store, and as I mentioned before, they won't listen unless you get right in their face.
