“He’s walking on water,” Eric said out of awe as we continued to stare stupidly out to sea.
“Hold on,” Ruby snapped out of her blank state. “Didn’t he just leave us for a little bit?”
“He said he was going to get us a ride to the next town,” Terra answered. “Charlo,” Aqua followed.
“Yeah,” Ruby exclaimed, “so, what do we do in the mean time?” Her eyes lit up as everyone put their weapon away. “We go SHOPPING!”
Aqua and Ruby started linked elbows, grabbed Terra, and started skipping down the blanks in search of a store.
“I don’t believe this,” I sighed.
“I don’t know about you guys,” Chris started, “but I’m going out to bust some heads.” He took out his sword again and marched toward the entrance.
“Hey,” Eric yelled. “Wait for me!”
“I guess I’m by myself then,” I said to myself. I’m talking to myself? That’s it. I’m taking a nap at the inn.
I started retracing the route Aqua dragged me along to the library, and I came to the two floor inn. Then I approached the guy behind the reed counter.
“Hi,” I started. “Is the room we were in still open?”
“Yes it is,” he smiled widely as I took a step back. “Go right on up.”
I stood there in place for a second before I could move toward the wood stairs. Is everyone like that here? No wonder Chris was so disturbed. I came back into the same room with three beds to both walls and a couch below the window. What are these sheets made of anyway? I sat on one of the beds. It was covered by a down blanket and had an extremely soft mattress.
“Man, this feels… Zzzz…”
