During the Rule of King Norlias IV
When I was called into the throne room I was suprised to find the whole royal family there waiting for me. The king, his four sons, and the queen. I kneeled before my king and he stood from his kingly throne and approached me. "Rise, Lynx.", he said at last. His sons walked forth and stood beside their father, all of the lookin at me. "What is it my liege?", I asked. "We all want to thank you for all that you have done for this family and this country." The youngest son, who was about six years old, was hiding something behind his back. He revealed a sword and held it up to the king. The scabbard was a plain dark brown color as was the simple handle. Norlias IV handed me the sword which I took and bowed. I found it rather strange as I held this sword. It seemed as though I could only feel the weight of the handle and scabbard, as though there were no blade to it. I drew the sword from its sheath and it became clear why. The blade is forged out of a very rare and powerful metal. This metal was very very light yet it is the most durable substance in existance. Being in the form of a sword, it could possibly cut through anything. The metal had a very slight lavender tint to it as it shone in the sun's light. I was speechless. The king even knew to make the blade exactly in the manner that would fit my style. The sword was three feet in length from end to end, the round handle and small guard allowed for easy flourishes and the scabbard came with a belt so that I could have the sowrd parallel to the ground behind me on my waist. I was not sure how to feel at that moment. I have never recieved a gift before. I've seen gifts presented to others but I never thought I would recieve one. Especially a gift as grand as this sword. Norlias IV placed a hand on my shoulder. He simply looked into my eyes and nodded. I sheathed the sword and nodded back.
"Thank you, my liege..."
