Even with breath I cannot detest
the truth, which is laid to rest
believe all i have to say
will go unspoken
with lies you're like ice and fire
my only one true desire; your flesh up against my skin
the truth, the lies
the truth stays within
a cold blooded killer
a f*king liar
truth and lies all you desire
i cant look at her
i cant create these thoughts
without a trace
for one forbidden moment i was safe in your arms
in the next you are gone
it's been so long now since you breathed upon my skin
the only dreams that came true
is that every day i'm losing you....
The way you touch; your once perfect fingers curling around the stone so smooth, and brilliantly but no longer etched with perfection
yet i cave
i cannot watch, nor blink
nor listen for the splash of the undeniable but ultimate fate
of the stone
it's too much, perfect or not
i have even the thought
there's a smile frozen on my face
i like the way you're sitting there, in the square, dropping the stone
into the water
there is no life when pen meets paper with an angry touch
i cant take it, i fall away, too much
it may feel so alive, but the pen is an object and the marks on the paper are sacred
an expression of emotion
simply there
but of course non-living
much like the stone
if the stone were in fact alive, i'm sure
it's breath would not be crushed
but instead taken away
i hate the way every thing erases itself after you laugh
and i think to myself, wow what the ******** am i doing breathing in this bleached air?
then, there's the way your smile disappears when i say get away from me, it's over and i don't care (any more)
but i thought you liked finality....
Like fate meant it to be, your smile now gone, it fades as quickly as the ripples on the surface of the water
when your smile disappears, it's revealing, you're not like stone, no you're more like a drowned clump of fur
from an animal who's been kicked too many times
petty....pathetic...lethargic
with weak hands and weak skin that clings meekly to your tainted bones
and loose lips that let the awful, unlawful most meanest and cruel words fly free and drown out my sins
you lick the words off your lips and savor them
and yet
for you to throw the stone, and earth, and love
to drown and drone
and for me to all the while, watch your tortured smile disappear
i ignore every thing else
it gives me the greatest pleasure, dear.
