Frozen flakes of ice fall from the sky
and also from that place that used to hold a heart
I watch them as they tumble down
one speeding down like an icy dart
He came and claimed he loved me
oh so long ago
he took my heart; i trusted him
to patch up the ripped hole
It seemed he was too good for this
But I guess that I was wrong
I still remember how his voice was golden
It ran right through me, like a beautiful song
Yet it only took a single girl
soft brown eyes, and curly blonde hair
To convince him without saying a word
That there were prettier girls out there.
I still don't know where the last pieces are
of my heart that is no longer here
the icicles are starting to form on the hole
that should have healed last year
