“Loving someone shouldn’t hurt should it? When all we have left is our hate, what happens when we turn it to love? Will we, as people, still be forgiven for our horrible pasts?” –Kenshi

The warm summer night was beautiful, especially from his point of view. His young demon lover was dancing within the moonlight, a soft meldolic dance as words like the sound of water smoothed together left her graceful lips. The fireflies danced around her, the fountain’s spewing water glistened in the light, and her eyes, oh how he loved her eyes. Soft glowing yellow that turn into beautiful soft lavender. She was beauty in all its glory. And yet somehow, he knew that it would be gone, the peaceful life they now have, a war, something big was going to happen, very soon. It was in the air, in the way she sang softly, her words haunting him and yet bringing him a sense of comfort.

Her words were soft and repeating like a meldolic soothing sound. She was in a nightmare, she knew what was going to happen, because she is, in a sense, the reason this happened. Truly she was the embodiment of loneliness, of heartbreak, but despite all this she still smiles, smiles for him and those who can’t. Her smile that makes men lust for her and her eyes that shine pure love, pure hatred and lust, lust for the blood of those still alive, lust for the joy of killing again, lust for her dreams, and for her lover. She was passionate indeed, A true fighter and lover all at the same time. He was indeed lucky to have her, but he somehow got the feeling that one day, he will loose her, then what? She is his light.

Those whom she met want her light, but where as she is their light, she herself has no light to chase…nothing but darkness. And so thus was the reason he wished to keep her in this peaceful life, to keep her from the harsh reality that she would soon see. Her reality, the reality she created with her past sins, her mistakes, and for opening that door. That door was to remain shut, only one of pure darkness, of light and shadow could open it, and she had been that person. Such a foolish child she was.

And still she shined brightly. Like a star in the ink blue sky at night, always there but never able to be touched. It was ironic really, the girl was the host darkness chose, no light within her and even still she seems to shine brightly. Why though? Why does she shine so much? He was plagued by these question, many were…those who met her were changed, one way or another. Why did they forsake her then? Shun and turn her away, when she needed them the most? They left her alone to defend her own. Because of this she was lonely, broken inside. The darkness was her only friend. It treated her like a lover, comforting her when sad, healing her, caring for her, as if the darkness truly did love his little shining star. “Impossible” he would mumble under his breath every time he thought this, darkness had no emotions, right?

“We’ll break the wall of silence until the sun comes shining through. In the pouring rain we’ll cry while walking a life long road of copies until our lives have ended.” Her voice once more floated in the air and Sting looked behind him, there stood his shining star in all her glory. “That’s what you said to me when we first met, remember?” He looked into her shining lavender eyes and melted at the warm loving smile she gave him.

“Yes, I remember.” He replied kissing her on the tip of her nose, causing her to giggle in delight. He truly did love her. And so the two remained in silence, both just smiling, content to be with one another, how sad it would be that their love would soon fade. Both knew, deep in their hearts they knew, but neither wished to admit it, both needing the other here and now, nothing could sever their love, not now at least.
