• I closed my journal, feeling refreshed. My journal is been one of my best friends for quite a while now. The journal silently listens to me every time I deliver news with my mechanical pencil. I love my journal because I can trust it all the time. Because outside of my journal world, my real world... Is unpleasant. A place that I'm never safe.

I live in a small town with 4 brothers and 2 sisters and my step mom and my dad. My brothers, Kevin (25 yrs), David (19yrs), Sam (15yrs), and Timmy (7yrs). Homies to brats. And my sisters, Kimberly (17yrs) and Alexis (16yrs), they are the princesses of the family. They get whatever they want in almost any day of their life. And I have my dad (James) and my step mom (Lisa). My mom left the house when I was 8, and my dad got remarried 4 years ago. So I had to kiss my old house and my friends goodbye and live in Lisa's house. Sad thing is I am still not used to this location, even though I am living here for 4 years now.

"Lily! Breakfast is ready!" I heard Lisa's dry voice from down stairs. I grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs. By the time I got downstairs, half of the family had finished eating. "Morning Lisa, morning dad..." I smiled a little bit and sat on my chair. And when I grabbed my fork and reached out for my breakfast sausage on my plate, Kevin snatched it with his bare hands and stuffed it in his mouth. "Kevin! Don't eat my breakfast! You already ate!" I yelled at him. "A man has to eat, kid." Kevin talked to me with his mouth full. I snapped. "Kevin, if you think you're a *man*, how about you get a girlfriend and get out of the house and stop eating my breakfast?"
Lisa glared at me. Oh god...The *warning* look. "Angela, watch your language, young lady. And Kevin, don't talk with your mouth full. It's disgusting." I stared at Lisa with my mouth hanging open. Not even *Kevin, stop stealing Angela's food!*... I continued eating my breakfast sausage-less breakfast while others talked other stuffs that I don't care about. Kimberly *the drama queen* looked at me with curiosity while I ate. "Uh, Angela... Have you had sex yet?" I almost spit out my food for that question. I said "....No....". Kimberly changed the tone of her voice quickly. "Oh my gosh! You are soooo lame. You are like the lamest sister ever... I mean your looks are ugly and all, but some other ugly guy might get attracted to you anyways! And by the way, your pajamas are like, double lame! I mean like, you have no sense in fashion!"
I thought to my self, A) Who the hell asks about sex in the breakfast table? B) And I'm not going to have a boyfriend yet! C) You wear Dora pajamas for bed anyways...

I walked to school and I heard a running footstep behind me. I turned around and saw Sam running toward me. I looked away from him and continued walking. Sam caught up to me and started walking next to me. I asked, "Sam, what are you doing?" Sam looked at me and said "Because I felt like walking next to my pretty sister." I ignored that. Sam was always the flirt of the family. He flirts with me big time because I think he wants me to get *some* reactions out of me. I don't think I'm pretty, but I don't think I'm ugly either. When Sam was going to say something else, we heard a car honk next to us. It was Kevin's car, and he shouted, "You kids keep on walkin'! I bet you're jealous because I can drive with my spiffy black baby!" Sam shouted back. "Apparently your *black baby* can't help you get a girlfriend!" Kevin scoffed and drove away.

And that's the last time we saw Kevin.
