• Ch. 2

    Sakura’s house was just like their house, only, it was in the village. Almost as soon as they got there, Sakura came bursting out the door. “Bye mom!” she called back.
    “Have a good day!” called her mom.
    Sakura was about the same height as Haku, only, a little shorter. She had green eyes, brown hair and was wearing the same uniform as Chihiro. “Oh,” she started, “Hi guys.”
    “Hi,” started Chihiro, “ready to go?”
    “Yep, I’m so excited!” she proclaimed. And they set out for Utashinai.

    They were just in time for the graduation. Haku sat down in the audience. It was half past midday when it was over, so they had lunch.
    Then they headed back to their village. When they got there, they emedeiatly went to the ampitheater. They sat down in the crowd when they got there. Haku could just barely see the Head Ninja who was in charge of the village. There used to be a king but his line died out and no one Knows who the heir was. The Head Ninja held out his hands and the audience fell silent.
    “Thank you all for coming today to the Elite Exam presentation.” He said, “When I call your name, come forward,” he took a scroll from the man next to him. “Haku Kawasaki.” he announced.
    Haku stood up, removed his cloak and jumped high in the air. He landed in front of the Head Ninja. “I’m ready to receive my test.” He proclaimed.
    “Haku Kawasaki,” he took a scroll from the man next to him, “Receive your test and become an Elite Ninja.” He handed the scroll to Haku.
    “I’ll do my best.” He replied. Then he left.

    They dropped off Sakura at her house and went straight home (after Haku had retrieved his cloak). When they got there, it was already nightfall. They went inside and Haku lit a candle.
    “Time to read it…” he said. He opened it and it said:

    Elite Exam
    For your test, you must go from the city of Soya, Japan, to the southernmost tip of Okinawa. There you’ll find a large city of ruins, a ninja will be there and see if you are worthy of being an elite ninja. You may bring up to three others with you. The only technology you may use are headphones and walkie –talkies. You may use ninja gear. The only time you may use a plane is when going to the village of Soya from Obihiro and from Tokashiki Shima back to Obihiro. On land you must go by foot. On water, you must go, either by foot or boat. DO NOT break the rules, we have someone tailing you. A ninja in Obihiro will contact you to set your flight arrangements, same with the airport at Tokashiki Shima. Good luck, you must leave in five days.

    And that was it.
