• wolves in the woods. chapter 5

I felt weightless, light as a feather. Nothing could stop my running, my speed. My hunt! The vampires had no chance of escape from me. But where was Lizzie, Stephen, or Megan? Weren't they just here a second ago? I felt a jab of pain in my side and let out a scream of pain.
I woke up in a cold sweat, blankets twisted at my legs, and a blood hilling scream piercing my ears. It took me a second or two to realise that the screaming was my own. I stopped and looked around my surroundings. My blue walls convered in posters of bands, twilight cast memebers, and my small wolf picture above my head. My head pained me very much and the only thing I head was rapid breathing,-besides my own- next to my bedside. I turned my head to see Stephen kneeling next to my bed, his head on the mattress. He raised his head and his face lit up. "Thank God your awake. I didn't know what to do when you fainted so I got you aunt and we took you here. Are you ok? What happened? Why did you faint?" His questions flowed out like a faucet on full blast. I couldn't remeber what order they came out and I wasn't sure how to answer anyway.
"What happened? I dont know what happened. I just felt sick I guess after hearing what Sarah said. I dont know why." I replied. Stephen stood up. He lost his joy and it was replaced by a undescribible expression.
I pulled the covers off and got up to stand, when a ave of dizziness swept into me. I fell backward onto my bed and Stephen rushed over. "Be carefull." He warned. Stephen helped me back up, and I leaned on his arm for balance.
"So do my parents kno, or do I have to still explain?" I asked as we headed down the stairs and into the living room. He and I sat on the couch and in front of me on the coffe table was an orange, and a bowl of cereal.
"I figured since you didn't eat at lunch you might be hungery." Stephen said in a careful tone. It sounded like he thought that if he said something wrong I would flip out.
"Stephen something's bugging you. What is it?" I asked worried.
"When your best friend faints and doesn't wake up for a couple hours you tend to feel on edge. But that's not what's wrong. You seemed like you were in pain for a while when you were.....asleep. Did something happen in your dreams?" I nodded, and told him. He didn't like it but comforted me none the less.
