Chapter III: Vampiric Heirarchy
Moving on from where the story left, Christian Vendre met Elle Rosewood and her mother. He was about to go for an escape, sensing that something or someone was after him. It has been days since the tragedy happened and he was still trying to fit in with the little town.
For someone like him, problem was inevitable... for as he was about to make a run for it. The vampire duchess' carriage stopped by and the Duchess herself came to arrest him.
He was feeling something strange welling up inside him. His blood boils just like cooking oil in a deep-fryer as he watched the seventeen year old vampire staring at him. He tried to suppress his emotions, keeping himself low on his seat... trying hard not to yell something bad.
There was a fascinated look in Alice's eyes. She was scheming something that Christian feels bad about. She kept trying to get eye contact with the elusive host. They have the same eye color... the same hair color and nearly a bit of the same aura. A clash of wills... two persons with an uncanny sense of seeking absolute power.
"You won't talk to me about it?" asked Duchess Alice, bearing her fangs out at him as she looked out of the window.
"Why do I even need to talk to you? You're one of them... those vampires hunting me" replied Christian, clenching his fists and keeping something ready behind his back. He was waiting for something, maybe some foolish move that the Duchess might do that will let him escape.
Alice then lunged at him, she quickly held his hands and locked them behind him. She held Christian's head with her left hand and shoved his face to his seat. "I'll have to confiscate this sword. You think your offenses are that big enough that we'll have you executed? Think again!" she pulled the saber away and threw him back to his seat.
Christian sprang back at her and tried to land a punch on her face. He was burning red from rage after being treated that way. He desperately threw punches having all of them blocked by Alice's magic.
He haplessly pounded on the magic wall. Trying to at least land a scratch on her annoyingly calm face. He continued banging... even kicked it once or twice from his desire to exact revenge. Everything was futile... she was well too versed with dark magic that his strength was nullified greatly.
Alice snapped her fingers, releasing the magic barrier as it threw Christian away to the wall. "The HELL do you love to cheat!" yelled Christian, brooding over a bleeding forehead. He kept his eyes glued to Alice's face... repeatedly murmuring the words, "Die... die... die..." as he kept cursing her in his mind.
"Oh, so you think I'm cheating?" mocked Alice, currently smiling on how the puny little host kept trying to hit her. She provoked him to punch her once again, sticking her tongue out. Christian growled in anger, ignoring his currently bleeding forehead and haphazardly tried to land a punch filled with all his strength.
"You're nothing but a pitiful worm!" said Alice, adding more wood to the fire. The punch zoomed in on her but she has really anticipated this already. She provoked him after all, and as he closed on her. She quickly took the zooming fist and pulled him down to the ground. Christian was pinned to the floor and Alice sat above him, "I arrested you for being rude to my younger cousin. I'll forgive you if you come with me to say sorry to her."
Christian gritted his teeth in annoyance with such a simple reason for arresting him. He tried to budge Alice off with a question, "Tell me... why can't I even land a scratch on you?"
"Simple question, it's because of the Vampiric Heirarchy" answered Alice as she lifted Christian up to his seat, "A vampire like me is ten times better than a host like you. Oh, talking about the devil! We're already here I expect you to behave yourself then."
Christian sighed with such a provoking answer, but wondered why he even needs to say sorry to someone he hasn't met yet. The carriage doors opened and a huge mansion gate welcomed him and Alice. Somehow, he felt a cold aura from it... something that will have him worrying for himself.

- A slight more feeling in the characters but I agree with Aea. A bit rushed. C: And the intro, it didn't capture my interest. Usually its the first sentence that hooks the reader but with something like, "moving on where the story left off", it lowers the quality. Suggestions would be starting with something that captures the reader. Leave a cliff hanger in one chapter, start off the next with an event like, "the crowd that once populated the streets grew quiet, eyes glued to a carriage as it pul

O_o this Alice person is kinda getting on my nerves. Based on what I feel about your work now... this one is rushed.
Still, it's nice but this third part is kinda... not so nice than the first two. - Report As Spam
