• She kept running. There was no way she was going to let this being rip her sister away from her.

She reached an enormous field. Her 3 year old sister, still asleep, was pressed against her chest. Not knowing who, what, or where she was running from, she dashed across the clearing. As she reached the center, ever thing got quieter, and quieter, until she could not even hear her heart pounding in her chest. She glanced back, and at that moment, she tripped over a root. As she flipped through the air, her scream was lost. She landed on her back, and her sister awoke and smiled down at her.

She started to cry, for she knew there was no escape.
All she could do was hold her sister tight
    And wait.
    It did not take long.
    She could feel it approaching.
It enveloped her, pushing her and her sister away from each other
She started to scream, but nothing came out.
She felt as if she was moving in slow motion.
She kicked and yelled and bit and shrieked.
    Noting worked.
It was everything and nothing; she could never beat it.
With her last bit of strength, she lean forward and kissed her sister
And then she fell backwards to the ground
and watched as her sister vanished into the midnight air.

    She was alone.
