• Chapter 7
    Leaving
    I drove to Megan's apartment that night. As I took the stairs up I began to wonder how hard this was. Then I was at her door. "Hello", I said as she opened the door.

    "Hey Karion", she said blushing. "What do ya come by for?"

    I took in a deep breath as I walked in. "You know how dangerous my job is, well I fear something big is about to happen. People could use you to come after me. Listen this is the Armed forces after me."

    Her mouth dropped in disbelief. "I'm going to help. You can't do this alo-"

    "Yes. Yes I can. I have to. If anything happens to you I couldn't live. Besides as long as you've known me there was one fact you know. That is I worked alone, that is who I am. The alone assassin."

    "No. You can't this by yourself, there has to be someone."

    "I've never had any friends." I said lowering my head. "Nor did I talk to people."

    I began to walk towards the door and thats when I heard those words. "I love you." I couldn't believe it I turned around and faced Megan.

    "I love you too, but we both understand what I need to do. We both know you can't get hurt. You need to live your life, I'm stuck in destiny, while yours still can go on."

    She said nothing and I hugged an kissed her softly, for it would be my last. I knew that this was the last I would see her so I said those words when I left, "Goodbye."
