In a world where Nazis hated Jews(obviously ours). Our boy, Jack, was transferred to a concentration camp at Auschwitz(the largest) and was selected for a work party. He and his father were sent to a labor camp near Hanover. His father was killed there and jacky was rescued by the us army(1945). He immigrated to the us in 1947.

Jack soon learned how to fix office equipment, like typewriters. In 1953, while working as a taxi driver, he bought a shop in the Bronx to repair office machinery, and named it Commodore Portable Typewriter. Tramiel started a business importing typewriters from Europe, and in 1955, he set up Commodore Business Machines in Toronto. In 1962, Commodore went public, but Tramiel remained head of Commodore until the mid-1980s. They made stuff like typewriters, calculators, microchips, and eventually, COMPUTERS!!! There are 3 !s because commodore invented the C64 and it is very famous. The companies was able to sell the computers for ridiculously low prices, like under $1,000. By not paying for parts from suppliers, Commodore would buy the company eventually once it went bankrupt. Brilliant, but evil twisted . This way, they could make computers easily! A Commodore could help kids learn and you used to be able to trade in ur old gaming console 4 money off a comp. But why not? Atari had released 2 bad games for their 2600. A bad port of Pac-Man and E.T., the worst game ever!!! But kids everywhere knew these were super advanced game systems. EA is founded and it makes great games for the system. Oh, and there was a modem for the comp. too. However there is a great disturbance on 13 January 1984, for Tramiel either kicked out of Commodore or resigns. He later buys Atari from Warner and says not to make games anymore... right when the Atari 7800 is about to launch! What a huge mistake! So it's Atari ST v.s. Commodore Amiga and both are computers. And the Winner is... Nintendo!!! The NES launches and beats up everybody! Now Jack's like "Hmm okay maybe i was a little hasty, I'm getting back into the Video Game biz. Where's that 7800?" So it launches and it's 2 years too late. Which would u rather have packed in a game console box? Pole Position of Super Mario Bros.? I thought so. Atari would try again in the Handheld LYNX v.s. the GameBoy and later, the Jaguar, the 2nd worst gaming system of all time! Meanwhile before the jaguar, Jack tried to make his son Sam, the President and CEO of Atari and it worked until Sam had a heart attack. In '96, Jacky sold Atari to Jugi Tandon Storage and joined the JTS Board.

Jack is retired and lives in Monte Sereno, California with his wife Helen, whom he married in 1947 shortly after his immigration from Poland. They have three sons: Sam (born 1950); Leonard (born 1955 or 1956); and Garry (born 1959 or 1960). The Tramiels also have several grandchildren. Mr. Tramiel was fomous in Silicon Valley for misleading stockholders, yelling, and his cutthroat biz. He was not very nice. Or was he? That's everything u need to know about Jack Tramiel and his Commodore International. Now Commodore might release a new PC. I'm not sure, but Thank You Jack for having an interesting life to write about! Note: he's still alive.
