• -chapter 1: ACQUAINTANCE-

"Breaking news! Another killing in the wilderness on the town of lawn has occurred. Police investigators said that this incident would be the 11th for this week. The head of the investigators stated that there are still no leads into finding the culprit of the series of killings. The heads of the towns have been trying to find witnesses for the... CLICK!"
Fawna turned the television off lazily.

"Wow, another talk of the town! Must be a psycho killer on the loose," Pierre reacted upon hearing the news. "No wonder girls from other towns are avoiding me," he added. He sat in the couch while scratching his blond, frizzy hair.

"They must've mistaken you as the culprit. Well, it's not a shock really," Fawna replied with a smirk on her face.

"Hey! I'm too good looking for a killer!" he protested. "But you know, this news is getting so popular."

"Yeah, too popular that it bores me."

    "You're always bored at everything!"

"This talk will get us to nowhere."

"It will! If only you're not that scattered-brain, then we might have a decent talk."

    "Yeah!---- You're boring. Bye!"

"Hey! Where are you off to... Again?!"

    "Nowhere."

"Be careful, or the killer might target you!"

"That would be interesting! Slitting it's throat would be fun. And that's better than staying home with you," she wore her black leather jacket and tied her long, red-dyed hair with a rubber band. "Don't ever follow me, Pierre. Killers always kill the weaklings first."

"You're creeping me out! Just get out already!"

    -----

She wore a black helmet with a skull painted on two sides, went outside and then rode her motorcycle parked near the door and took off. It's a very clear night. The moon is at it's full. The air is so soothing. She can feel it rushing on her face as she drives aggressively on the roads of Lawn. It's like everything doesn't exist when she drives. It's just her and her black motorcycle.

An hour has passed and she's still driving. She's already inside the town's wilderness. She saw on her bike's side mirror another bike, following her. She felt kind of annoyed, so she stopped, blocking the whole narrow road. The next bike also stopped. it's colored with a stunning white coat. A man with a shoulder-long, black hair stepped down from it. Fawna, on the other hand, was not impressed at all. She took off her helmet and gave him a questioning look. The young man smiled at her revealing his white, lined-up teeth. He's a man who got the looks of a real bachelor. Fair-skinned, tall, well-tuned body shape and handsome, any girl would want to be in her place. But Fawna doesn't care much. What she cares about now is why this man tailing her bike.

"Who the hell are you?" she finally asked, "and why am i getting this feeling that you'll be really annoying?"

"Wow! That's kinda harsh... by the way, the name's Raul, 23, and i'm single," he reached out his right hand for a shake.

"Well then, Raul. My name's Fawna and i'm not really asking for your profile. Just the name will do," she said sarcastically while shaking hands with Raul.

"So here's the real question. Why are you stalking me?"

"Stalking?! Of course not! I mean, come on! Look at me?! does this gorgeous man looked like a stalker to you?" he said proudly, "It just happened that I see you passed by while i'm parking near the wilderness' entrance. I just can't help it! You looked really amazing. Just like... a phantom driver."

She was surprised when she saw that his expression completely changed while saying his real reason. What's more surprising is that the once she thought annoying would end up to be an interesting one. Fawna smiled. She saw the same passion in his eyes. The passion for driving bikes. Only people with the same passion would say that in such a soft expression.

"You know what. I forgive you," she smiled and gave him a pat on the head like his a little boy, "You're lucky, i'm such a nice lady," she smiled and put on her helmet.

"By the way, what do you call this snow white here?"

    "She's stallion."

"Cool name. Suits a cowboy such as yourself!"

"Thanks. How about yours? what do you call it?"

    "Bones."

"Cool! Explains the skull on the helmet."

"Wanna go to the town's main and get some coffee? We'll have a much decent talk there."

    "Sure thing! Wanna race?"

"You challenging me? Suit yourself then," she rode her bike and took off.

"Guess it's a yes!" he wore his helmet and followed Fawna.
