• Jesse's P.O.V
I didn't even see her come at me. I was too busy staring at my hands. I was pretty ashamed of myself. You would be too after telling some chick that she wouldn't be going back to her regular world anymore. She wouldn't even see her family for a while.
I probably would have hit me too. She also had another reason to hit me. I'd kind of been watching her for the past few weeks.
YES! I realize how stalker/rapist that sounds, but it was all for her safety.
My head master (of this school here) me, and everyone else in the LPP, or Lucy Protection Program (I made up the name since we really didn't have one), had been searching since I was a little kid for Estelle...er "the chosen one". We had an orb that Estelle had passed on through her generations, that glowed and whirled when the true Estelle or reincarnation came before it.
So, there I am, walking down 5th and Boulevard, with the orb just sitting there in my pocket. I had been looking for a gift for my mom's birthday.
I turn a corner to find a girl wrestling another girl to the ground.
I ran over immediatly, (I mean, WHO doesn't love a good cat fight?), when some cops appeared right behind me. The brown haired chick (who was Lucy I found out later on and who was beating the SHITE out the poor blond girl) takes the hint and starts running.
She bumps my shoulder. "Ha ha, sucker! Bet you wish you hadn't called me that now, huh?"
That's when I noticed my pocket vibrating.
You're sick. I can already see you thinking dirty thoughts. It wasn't me (although I had to admit. Lucy was a fox.), it was the orb.
So I followed her. Is that such a bad thing? I mean, I didn't watch her get dressed or anything. I just eavesdropped on her conversations, followed her, you know...the usual. That's all I did.
So, that kind of gave her another reason to come at me.
I just didn't expect her to actually hit me. I hadn't realized she had punched me until blood dripped down from my nose. Damn, she sure could throw a punch.
I noticed a little too late, when she was going at me again. She got me good in the side of my chin.
The look in her eyes could have killed. She was breathing slowly through her teeth. Her hair in different directions. She looked like a fire breathing dragon in a ripped and dusty powder blue dress.
"Are you telling me...that I'm...that I HAVE TO STAY HERE?" she hissed, her breathing coming out in uneven gasps. Turns out the question was rhetorical. She continued, "You know? I was beginning to think, "Hey? If they needed my help...I would be more than willing". BUT NO! As it turns out, you people had it all figured out right? You just thought you could take everything away and get away with it huh?"
I think it may be time to get Professor D. Either that or a calming spell.
She was walking toward me, fists clenched, I could feel my nose wincing in pain, I was going to have to do something before she tried to hit me again. I know what you're thinking too; why aren't you fighting back, getting her the heck off of you? I'm totally against violence, no matter how gay and loserish that sounds. UNLESS, it's a life or death situation, like with Esmeralda.
"Will you please calm down?" I asked, surprisingly calm. "I wasn't the one who decided this, okay? Professor Daniels did." And with that, the door opened and in walked the master mind himself.
    Lucy's P.O.V
Recap: The door opens and in walks some old guy.
"Who are you?" I ask rudely. Don't give me that crap. I couldn't give a shite how hot Jesse was, if he was taking me away from my life then he could go screw himself.
"Hello, Lucy. Jesse. Is there a problem?" He asks, snapping his fingers. A chair appears. I'm momentarily stunned, but I return to my snotty self.
    Was this guy joking?
