• Kira looked up and an un-realistic sun was looking down at her. It had white eyes with small black dots for pupils and had a huge smile like the Cheshire cat, it was wrinkly and scary looking.
"Hello." it bellowed exaggerating the "o". She ignored it and just stood hopelessly in the surrounding desert land until about five minutes later when she started to smell something strange, She couldn't figure out what it was, it smelt nice like something one of her grandparents would cook up. That was when she heard the sizzling. Kira called up to the sun in alarm.
    "Hey you!"
    "Me?"
"Yeah, you! What is that delicious smell?" Her vision started to blur. The sun snickered nastily. The only colour she could see was orange.
    "What's going on? Tell me!"
"Have you been to the opticians recently?" The sun asked in it's husky, rude voice. Kira steadily brought her hands up to her eyes. No eyelids, no eyes, no eye brows. She felt all over the strange shapes which had interrupted her vision.
"MY EYES ARE FRIED EGGS!?" She cried in disbelief. The sun began to cackle hideously as she began to run around frantically and then a voice interrupted her screaming.
"Kira?" It questioned calmly. Kira thought for a moment only to realise that it was her name being called.
"Kiiiiiraaaaa!" The voice was more stern this time but it became clearer. Somebody was shaking her.

"Kira wake up!" The orange faded into a new image which was some kind of room, It had photos and fairy lights. It was her room and somebody was leaning over her. Suddenly everything came into place, she had been dreaming and It was the night after one of the college parties.
"I must have fallen asleep on the sofa." She muttered to herself. Then she sat bolt upright and a newspaper hat fell off of her head and onto the floor fell sweet wrappers and DVD cases, popcorn, bonbons, crisps, crumbs and cream soda cans. 'Mmm I love cream soda!' She thought.

" How much punch did you have at that party ?" Asked Milly who was checking Kira's temperature and cleaning up after her mess.
" Hey Milly, don't worry about that, I'll sort it out after." Her words were slurred. Suddenly she remembered what happened the night before.
" Oh no, oh god Milly!" Milly looked pitifully back at Kira as some kind of response. "Oh I didn't did I?..." She ignored what Kira was saying.. "Well!?" she asked abruptly. Milly was walking towards her with her hands behind her back. From behind her back she whipped out a plate loaded with marmite smothered toast. 'God it looks so delicious! Oh god It is sooooo delicious. I knew what she was doing. She was trying to change the subject but I went along with it.' Kira thought. She looked hungrily at the toast as she ate it, taking large bites out of it, not even caring if the marmite was smeared halfway up her face. the guilt struck. She quickly waved a piece of toast in front of Milly. "You want some?" She asked with a full mouth full. Milly took a few seconds to de-code the mouth-full-of-toast language and then refused but Kira decided to leave her a piece for her anyway. She smiled at Kira as she did.

About two minutes later Milly picked up the TV remote and switched on wacky racers. The two of them stared at the TV in fascination for about five minutes and then Kira interrupted.
"It's the Summer break today!" She exclaimed excitedly. Her aqua-green eyes were full of excitement and adventure.
"Adventure!" Milly bellowed unexpectedly. "Sorry wasn't meant to say that out loud!" She laughed and then said.
"Well actually I was planning on going on an adventure, a road trip to be specific. It depends, your not busy right?" Kira thought for a few minutes. She wasn't busy, it was only three weeks and her parents were busy on business trips 24/7.
"Yeah why not!" Kira cheered! "We could invite Darren and Joel too. I know for a fact they aren't busy. In fact they've been planning their nerdy vide game fest for about a century now!" Milly laughed and then suggested that her and Kira went down to wake them up so that they could get an early start on planning and they began their way down to room 41.
