• That night camped outside another town. Everyone had gone into the town, except me of course. From our campsite I could see the town’s celebration. My new friends were somewhere in the throng of reveling people.
My eyes began to tear. I longed to be as human as Clarice if not more. Then I wouldn’t be as lonely as I was watching the humans. At that moment I heard crying.
I could tell that it was someone else crying, I’d know if I were crying. I followed the sound to a large hill with a man standing at the top.
In the light of the moon I could see that his hands were clenched tightly, and that he was turned away from me. He looked at the moon, which was on the other side of him from me, then screamed as if pointing all of his anger at it. I watched as the surface of the moon began to ripple like the surface of water when a pebble is thrown into it. Then man fell to his knees and the rippling of the moon stopped.
I slowly walked up to the man. As I got closer I could see more of his face until I got close enough to realize that the man was really Connor. By then he had noticed me too.
“What’s wrong? Why aren’t you with the others?” I asked him.
“I can’t. It’s her birthday today.” He replied.
    “Her?”
“Oh, I’ve forgotten that I haven’t told you about her. I have… had a sister.”
    “Had? What happened?”
“You’re getting better with your English.”
“Thanks a… Hey, I’m bad with the language no stupid.”
“Okay, you caught me,” he smiled, “I’ll tell. I had a sister, but she disappeared. And this all was before my brother took control. My brother had gone in search of her. When he came back was when he became evil. To this day I haven’t had any word on her.”
“That’s just sad. Come on.” I stood up and started walking.
“Where we going?” he followed me.
“We’re going to camp, so we can eat and sleep.”
“Can you do something for me?”
    “What is it?”
“Don’t tell anyone about my sister.”
    “Until I die.”
    “Thanks.”
