What makes a n00b? I think that question strikes me every time I hear someone say the word.

Recently, someone called me a n00b because of my cat set, which isn't overly expensive (probably under 10K). Now, normally, I ignore the word n00b, but because it was aimed directly at me, I had the inclination to pay attention. See, the problem is, I don't type like a n00b, I'm reasonable, and I'm every bit as serious as some of the vets here. So honestly, what makes a n00b? Is it the way some avatars are dressed, using cheaper items because they happen to like the look?

Or is it how some people type, when they know they're spelling every ******** word wrong but they just don't care? Where they know the proper punctuation, but because they aren't being graded on it, they use it in the most annoying way? And when they abuse the poor Caps Lock because they think that:

SPEKNG LYK THS IZ AWSUM!!!!111111

Or is it even really just a way to inflate someone else's ego, by calling another person a n00b? Is it just some idiot who's so stupid as to make other people feel bad? Honestly, I don't know. I've never considered myself a n00b before, and someone calling me one simply because I wear a cheaper outfit than usual really makes me wonder just what makes a person become a "n00b." Also, before any of you wiseasses tell me I just made YOU feel bad, take into account that right now, I'm not sure I care. I never stated anyone specific, I'm simply giving examples here.

See, to mee, a n00b is someone who knows how to piss people off, knows it's wrong, and they do it anyway. Do I do that? No. At least, not intentionally. So, as you can tell, this really pissed me off to be called one. Granted, a lot of stuff pisses me off, but this just broke the camel's back.

Normally, I don't reply, because it just doesn't matter. Chances are, I won't see the a*****e again. But this particular a*****e was already pissing me off to begin with. So, when he called me a n00b, guess what I did? No, I didn't report the b*****d. I took the slightly more personal route and shoved every little flaw he made right in his face. And I did it with such eloquence that I spun circles around the little a*****e. I'm not proud of it, but I really hate the title of 'n00b.' Hell, I don't even use it against other people. It's degrading and stupid as all hell.

So, next time any of you call anyone a n00b, remember the Golden Rule: 'Do unto others as others would do unto you.' Trust me, it's worth it not to label people.

Oh, yeah, and if any of you call me a n00b, expect an asscrap of ranting five minutes later. Like I said, it pisses me off and I'm really not afraid to fight you.
