Just a place for me to give off my rants, and for you all to listen.
Ahhh, Christmas Time. Everyone's favorite time of the year. No worries, I'm not here to rant about Christmas. However, I am here to rant about something involving Christmas. Yes, that's right. CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!

Seriously, what is it that makes getting Christmas gifts for your loved ones so damn hard?! Last week, for instance, I was heading into Best Buy with my sister to get something for our father, and you know how long it took just to weave through one short aisle? Five minutes. Five whole minutes! Five minutes to go maybe ten feet, and that's not counting avoiding all the people in the DVD, CD, and Video Game aisles to reach what we were looking for, too. No, that took nearly half an hour for one present. And if you think it got easier, think AGAIN.

The halls were even worse. As my sister and I left the store, we were pelted with row after row of pedestrians looking through the stores, but not appearing to want to actually go in them. I can't stress how extremely annoying that was. Well, maybe I can, seeing as how I was extremely annoyed. I was ready to leave after getting dad's gift, but we had to press on. I had to get my sister something. I distracted her by telling her to go to her favorite shoe store while I sneakily went about getting her awesome gift, but it took over twenty minutes to get to the store, by which time, she was already in the corridor of the mall, looking for me. No worries, I got her gift without her knowing. She assumed I was in Hot Topic to find Mummicat, which I deemed calling it (It's actually Sabbath from Emily the Strange in bandages).

So, after that, we sought to find anything for our older sister, but to no avail, since she didn't actually say what she wanted. After nearly an hour of plugging through half the mall, and over half an hour at Burlington's Coat Factory for dad, I decided we had to call it quits. It was painful, and getting to the bus was no fun, either. There had to be three busloads of people waiting for one Number 10, and getting in was a hassle, especially since the machine wouldn't take my money and some moron behind me told me to move my a**. Eventually, the bus driver took my $1 and I ran to the back, where no one else sat to my delight.

That was only half the realization of the true terror of Christmas shopping. The next one was going to Price Chopper two days later and finding the place packed to the brim with people. I mean, the mall, I understand, but why on earth is Price Chopper packed!? It's not close to Christmas for them! I mean, it is, but Christmas is over two weeks away! Why're people buying their Christmas dinner now!? Are they worried PC will run out of ham? Anyway, after spending an unfairly loooooong amount of time in PC (it was about 40 minutes, but I only needed to get a gallon of milk and some eggs), I got the hell out of Dodge and went home, ranting about how terrible Christmas Shopping can be.

Honestly, I spent more time shopping in the last week than I do in an entire year. That's what fueled this... childish... rant. XD And I thought it'd be funny to relay to you all my horrible ordeals about Christmas shopping. I'm not even half done. I still have to go and get wrapping paper and those annoying bows you stick on the presents. You can bet I'll rant about those, next. Anyway, that's pretty much it for my rant. All I have left to say is I really, REALLY hate Christmas shopping.

...oh yeah, and I took that today. You can see me and my beautiful Christmas tree, which I decorated myself. biggrin I didn't need my mommy's help this year.

That's the end of my rant, kiddies. Remember, don't flame. razz I'm supposed to go nuts on things that bother me. See ya!

Sounds like you have a fun Christmas shopping experience. I haven't gotten to doing much of it (not like I can, not much money...) But the malls and stores I've been in haven't been all that crowded. Though it sounds like you live in a busy city area.

Only thing I have to complain about is Christmas Dinner at our house (which will be 2 days before Christmas incidentally.) We somehow got 25 people invited even though it's only intended for a few people, and we have to figure out how to seat them all. The only part about this that I'm sure I'll hate is my Uncle's 4 obnoxious children will be there. They get into everything, never leave anyone alone, are disobedient and hyper to a mind-boggling extreme, and their parents don't bother controlling them. Ah well...

Well have a Merry Christmas (in 9 days o_O), hopefully you won't have anything to rant about until NEXT YEAR! biggrin One last week of school (have a fieldtrip on wed/thur) then I'm out yay!

Kinda sad thing about Christmas this year is I already know most everything I'm getting, since I either ordered or picked it up myself. Still fun I guess...
