She sponsors learning programs among the street kids and will heal anyone that comes to her. Her house is set up as an impromptu hostel/hospital.

In return she asks that they give blood if they are able. She will give them food, money or treatment in exchange for blood. It could be the blood of a patient or a family member. With this blood she keeps Doc Reiche and her children feed.

She also works on a serum to help lower the Doc’s blood hunger and light sensitivity.

Lyla, who went with her on the Count’s command, helps the mutants care for the twins.

The only thing Ellie won’t do for her street contacts is Abortions… unless it’s to save the patients life. She will sponsor the girl in question for her pregnancy and help her put the child up for adoption if she doesn’t want it, but as a Healer she revers and respects life. It's not the child's fault it's mother doesn't want it.

She also teaches the girls how to keep from becoming pregnant and does a regular round with most of the brothels. Her street nickname, much to her embarrassment, is ‘the/ my Lady’. They also call her if there is a problem.

When Ellie is eventually recalled she has left several protégés in a number of different professions behind her. They keep her in touch with her street contacts even after she returns to the Court's side.

The law is unhappy that she runs an open house but when it began to happen she went and filled out the proper forms and got the required licenses. After all it’s a charitable organization and she is a skilled and reputable healer, well known and respected in the community.
She is also moderately well to do and thanks to the street contacts her patients bring she is also very well informed.
