"Wha," Erik started. "What is that thing!?"
"It's a," Aqua broke off. "A giant lizard." She sounded really disappointed. "Hey Kane! Do you really expect us to believe that this is one of the so-called Kaijin you've been ranting on about? 'Cause this thing looks so damn fake!"
Kane said nothing and whispered something under his breath. Then he took his right index and middle fingers and pointed them at the lizard. Immediately light burst from around us, and a dome of light became visible around us. We had been in some kind of barrier that Kane set up. Then the dome vanished, and the lizard leapt at the person nearest to it. Me.
"Whoa," I yelled out as I toppled over. "Hey! Get off me!" I had the claws in my grasp to prevent any serious damage and get my foot to the thing's chest, but something felt off about this lizard. The weight, the feel of the bones in its claws, the feel of actual flesh beneath the scales, and even the inside of its mouth looked odd. "Um, Aqua! I hate to break it to you, but this thing feels VERY real!"
"That's because it is," said Kane very calmly.
"What," Ruby and Aqua screamed in unison.
Chris and Terra just stood there, frozen by the reality that decided to pounce on me first.
"Do you believe me now," asked Kane.
"Well I do," I yelled out from under the lizard that was trying to make a meal out of my face. "So, can you give me a hand here!?"
The others just quickly nodded their heads quickly, and Kane reached for something behind the tree. He pulled out a great sword with a five foot blade on it. Everyone's eyes widened, and Kane vanished. The next second the lizard ceased to move and broke into two halves as if it had been cleaved in half by the wind itself, and Kane was where the lizard once was holding his blade over his shoulder.
Eric was speechless for the first time in a long time before he could resond. "That was so cool!" He was still awe-struck.
Everyone was at a loss for words, and I was still on the ground with the lizard parts to my left and right. "H-hold on a second," I was in shock at what I just realized. "There, there's no blood anywhere." There was no drop of blood visible on the ground or on Kane's great sword, but the entrails were sure there.
