Binding is a more advanced basic that requires much practice to master. The tricky part about it is that it should only be used on unresponsive yo-yos that will not come up to a simple flick of the wrist. If you were to try this on a responsive yo-yo, it usually comes up at you if your not fast enough.
Yo-Yo I used: Yomega Crossfire, Yomega Xodus II Any nonresponsive yo-yo will work, but a Butterfly shaped yo-yo makes it easier.
HOW TO EXECUTE A BIND: 1) Preform a Back Mount. 2) Pinch the string with your right pointer finger and thumb. 3) Throw the loop you are pinching down into the spinning yo-yo while simultaniusly removing your finger from the loop (easier done than said). 4) If done properly, this will have caused a minor snag inside the yo-yo, forcing it to come up and will be undone by your next throw. Practice makes perfect.
Binding usually the best and one of the only ways to get a nonresponsive yo-yo to come up to you. When you see professionals flip their yo-yo before catching it, that's the bind. Master this and you have a mighty tool in your arsenal.
Next: Tricks again! I don't know how to do the more complicated mounts...yet...
