Story.
Kia ran around her house Wednesday evening. Her heart was racing as the time grew closer to seven. She was ready by five. She let her hair spill over shoulders the natural curl shining in the light. Kia sported a basic black T-shirt with light jeans. Her foot tapped excitedly in a rhythmic pattern on the floor without her notice. "Kia, for God's sake settle down!" exclaimed Tina irritated with the constant tapping. "S-Sorry, I'm just a little out of it." "A little? Kia your at the line of crazy!" Kia looked at Tina feeling heat rush into her cheeks. She just turned away and looked at the clock. Just the the doorbell rang, and Kia jumped to her feet and ran to the door. When she made it there Kis attempted to settle down and opened the door slowly with a smile on her face. Derek greeted her with a wide grin. "You look amazing. I hope you don't mind a change in plans. I thought it would be more fun to go to the Coffee Shop." said Derek scratching his head. Kia smiled and nodded, "Of coarse I don't mind. Be back at ten!" she called into the house shutting the door behind her. They walked down to the side walk where Kia was surprised to be met by a Viper. It shined black even in the dark and she stopped in her tracks. "Oh My God! I LOVE this car!" she breathed. Derek smiled a crooked smile and laughed. "My dad let me borrow it. It's his favorite car so I don't get it often." "Well you got it tonight." said Kia happily, "Well I don't want to stand here and stare all day! Let's go!" she smiled as Derek opened the passenger door then shut it lightly after her. He made his way around to the driver's side in almost record timing and was in. Derek sighed happily and buckled his seat belt driving off the the Coffee Shop. When there he cut the engine and opened Kia's door like the perfect gentlemen you see in the old movies and walked with her into the shop. Waitresses walked around in their vintage dresses and healthy smiles. The shop had a small stage in the corner for performances on Saturday nights. Booths lined the walls and windows for groups while the two person tables sprinkled around the private 'rooms'. Music played softly and soothingly in the background against the everyday trifle in peoples lives. Their waitress led them to one of the tables in the back. The two ordered their drinks and a couple cake. So as the evening progressed laughter and smiles were plastered on eachother's faces happiness shining in their eyes. When the evening was done they were spent. They had danced, eaten, and they were ready too go. Derek drove Kia home at exactly 9:55, so she was on time. When they made it to her house he walked her up to the door. "I had a really nice time Derek." said Kia happily. "Yeah me too, Kia." he replied. They stood there for a second in awkwads silence. "W-Well I should get in before my mom comes out." "Y-Yeah. Okay." Kia turned sticking the key in the door and then opening it. "K-Kia wait a second. I was just wondering if we could, do this again sometime and continue seeing eachother?" Derek chokes out blushing. Kia smiled and pecked him on the lips and saying, "Of coarse." With that she slipped into the house and shut the door behind her. She sighed with happy bliss and did a small happy dance then rushed up the stairs to tell Tina. Derek touched his lips where Kia had kissed him and smiled happily feeling as if his heart was going to explode. He jumped down their stairs and danced to his car driving off, the smile never clearing his lips.
