Story.
Kia and Derek sat under the giant tree Kia tucked into Derek's shoulder. "Hey Kia. Remember that night at Shelly Lane?" said Derek. "Yes, of coarse I do. I still have the picture." replied Kia. "That was probably one of the best nights I had. Well except the one here with the sunset." laughed Derek. Kia joined in with his laughter and smiled. "So, what about Shelly Lane?" "Oh nothing. It's just something that popped into my mind." said Derek looking out over the park. "Derek, are you okay?" asked Kia looking at him sitting up. "Yes everythings- Kia I can't lie to you. No I feel awful." sighed Derek turning lifeless eyes onto her. "Derek? What's wrong." asked Kia putting a hand on Derek's cheek. Derek closed his eyes taking her hand. "Kia, I'm falling out of love with you, and I don't know why. It's like I love you, but I don't know how to love you," said Derek squeezing her hand, "and I can't let you go because I want this to work. I want to be in love with you. I need to be in love with you, Kia. Your the best thing in my life and I can't let you go." Tears thretened Kia's eyes as Derek looked into hers she pulled her hand away and stood. Derek scrambled to his feet and lightly grabed Kia's arm as she started to walk away. His hair shadowed his eyes tears crashing to the ground. "Please don't walk away. I need you." he said. Kia pulled her arm away and turned to Derek kissing him. "I'm sorry this didn't work out for you Derek. Goodbye." choked out Kia pivoting and walking away. Derek froze his eyes wide he fell to his knees as she walked away. "Kia . . . Kia . . . Kia . . . KIAAAAAAAA!!!!" he screamed his voice pained. She continued on her cheeks stained with tears as she hugged herself refusing to look back. Kia walked down Shelly Lane her heart heavy. She knew these street would never be the same as they use to be. Kia walked home broken and lonely. She had been at the park, on a date, and she and her boyfriend had taken a break. He wanted to tell her something that was eating him up inside and she couldn't take it. She entered the house the floor creaking as her sister rushed over to her. "Kia what happened. Wht did he do to you!" "Tina, Derek didn't do anything. Don't look at me like that. Don't try to fix me. I'm not broken." said Kia pushing past Tina and walking up the stairs to her room. She locked herself in and slid down the door slowly. The shine of the blade twinkled in her eyes as she lifted it. The blade pierced her skin as she slowly wrote the words 'I Love You' down her arm. Kia sat there bleeding but not feeling a thing. Seems like rock bottom was there to greet her again while she fell asleep on the bloody floor.
