Story.
Kia sat on her bed with her hand covering her face. Her hair, knotted and messy, flipped over her shoulders. She wiped away the strands sticking to her cheeks. Kia stared into the pitch-blackness around her. She closed her eyes and whispered, "I am broken." She opened them to the sound of tapping on her window. Her muscles screamed silently as she walked over to the window and pushed it up. The voice that echoed in her ears filled her with dread. "Kia . . . just let me talk to you," whispered Derek, "Its been a month." Her eyes connected with his and they both saw the pain. His face made her flinch slightly at the memories they had shared. She motioned for him to come in as she stood to the side of the window. He stepped into the room looking almost as bad as she did. His brown eyes no longer glistened, but were dull and dead, his hair tangled from his hands running through it. Derek was a wreck. He swept her into a hug with all the energy and love he had. She let him, hugging back the same forcing her tears back. He refused to let her go. "Kia, I have a lot to tell you. Please don't say anything until i've finished." pleaded Derek holding her closer. She nodded and let herself close her eyes again her body feeling heavy with regret she let her head find rest on his shoulder. "You know how they say when you love something you have to let it go? Well I can't take it anymore and I am crawling back to you. I tried to just let you fade away into the distance. I CAN'T do that Kia, because my feeling keep pulling me back in. If you don't understand yourself and love yourself you can't love anyone else. I figured that out and I managed to figure out who I am. A whole new world has opened for me Kia, I LOVE you over anything in my life. People always say they aren't afraid to die for the one they love. Well I'm telling I'm not afraid to do that, and I'm not afraid to LIVE for you either! When I watched you walk away . . . I wanted to jump into traffic. Except all the other people that love me would be sad, and I would be mad afterwords because I never had the courage to live through it and fight for you, Kia! You're my life support and because of my need for you I am willing to be here right now and tell you this. Kia I Love you, and I want the rest of my life to be spent with you, pleasing you, just being beside you, to love you. Kia I'm sorry for barging in here like this, but I needed to tell you this. Please Kia, Take Me Back?"Kia's tears were well flowing down her cheeks now and she turned her face up looking deep into his eyes. She could barely speak so she threw herself into him kissing him with all the love and passion she could possibly bring out of herself. Derek was surprised but excepted the kiss just the same. She pulled back and smiled, "Of coarse I want you back Derek. Forever. As long as forever is." They embraced again as the sun peaked out in the distance relieving the moon of it's duties once again.
