Story.
A month passed as Derek and Kia fell in love. They loved everything about being with eachother, but now it seemed like Derek was growing distant. He didn't talk as much as he used to and was slowly pushing Kia away. Now he sat in his room on the edge of his bed staring outside into the moon. Derek ran a hand through his hair which had grown out a little and sighed. Rage and pain filled Derek's chest, but he didn't know why. He knew that Kia loved him and he loved her. He growled aggitated with himself and stood. "What the hell is wrong with me!" he screamed at himself. His anger flared as he knocked a glass figure of his desk watching it fall and shatter across the floor. He clenched his fists and took in a pained breath as he walked across the broken glass to his door. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kia's eyes flickered in the light of her candle. She clenched her fists gripping the side of her desk as tears fell from her eyes. She released her grip and flicked her tears away. "He says he loves me. Yet he pushes me away." Kia flew out of her chair throwing it backwords. She knew something was wrong, something was bringing Derek pain. Kia took in a sharp breath. She felt tears come to her eyes again as something inside seemed to shatter. She couldn't take it anymore and threw on warmer clothes running out of her house. Kia walked down her street toward the park. When she entered the park she sighed and looked at the giant tree. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They looked at one another both cheeks wet. Derek was rooted at the base of the tree wiping his eyes. He stood and looked at Kia slightly angry. "Kia what are you doing he-" he started but was cut off as Kia ran to him wrapping her arms around him burying her head deep into his chest. "Derek, I love you." she managed to utter before bursting into a river of tears. The words choked his tongue and he swallowed them hugging her close to him as the pain leaked out of him. "I love you too. I was mad at myself earlier this night and I took it out on the crystal heart we got with our names in it . . . K-Kia I'm sorry. " He leaned back putting a hand on her cheek. He lightly wiped her tears and kissed her. Kia kissed back then pulled away resting her head on his shoulder. "No object can explain the love we have, it's okay." They stayed like that all night falling asleep under the giant tree.
