Vincent was released to go to the nurse’s office and comes running in.
Vincent: Lucrecia! Lucrecia! I hurt myself!
Inside the nurse’s office, Pinako is applying some cleaning solution to a scrape on Ed’s (8, auto-mail present) knee while Lucrecia seems to be going through some paperwork. Pinako looks up at the door when Vincent comes running in.
Pinako: (to Ed) Okay, I think you’re well enough to turn to class.
Ed jumps down and leaves. Pinako then turns to Vincent.
Pinako: Okay, Vincent, what happened?
Vincent: (scrunches up nose) No! I want Lucrecia!
Pinako: (pulls up, grins as she shakes her head) Lucrecia, your regular is here…
Lucrecia looks up from her paperwork and sees Vincent next to Pinako, smiling with his cheeks turning pink. Lucrecia then giggles to herself as she stands and walks up to Vincent.
Lucrecia: (bends down so that she’s eye level with Vincent) So, what is it today?
Vincent: (holds out wrist) I got in a fight and hurt my wrist…!
Lucrecia: (takes Vincent’s wrist and looks at it) Wow, that’s pretty big scrape! Um, Rockbell-san, where did you put the cleaning solution?
Pinako: (has moved on to doing some cleaning) It’s on the table, dear.
Lucrecia: (finds the bottle and picks it up) Oh! Here it is!
Lucrecia opens the bottle and soaks a cotton ball in its contents as Vincent crawls onto a stool and holds out his wrist. Lucrecia then applies the solution to the boy’s scrape.
Meanwhile, back on the playground…
Sora: (8, running) Hey! Gimme back my pudding cup! Gimme back my pudding cup!
Xemnas: (12, also running holding a small, yellow cup-like object) Make me!
Xemnas turns around, pulls down his lower eyelid and sticks out his tongue.
Sora: (pulls a stick out of seemingly nowhere) I’ll make you pay for that!
Sora begins swinging the stick at Xemnas as the two run around in circles around the playground. They pass by Riku (9), Kairi (8 ) and Naminé (7).
Naminé: (sweat-drops) Was that who I think it was?
Riku: (slaps forehead) Aw, man! There they go again!
Kairi: (crosses arms) You’d think that after a while Sora would learn how to keep his pudding away from Xemnas. I mean, this happens every day…
Riku: I doubt he’d ever figure it out! I offered to be his bodyguard, but he insisted he could do it on his own…
Roxas (8 ) walks up.
Roxas: What’s going on here?
Naminé: Sora. Xemnas. Pudding. Again.
Roxas looks like he’d rather be anywhere here and now and begins to leave when Sora and Xemnas pass by again.
Sora: Roxas! Help me!
Roxas: Why should I?! I have my own problems with him!
Sora: You’re my brother! You’re supposed to help me!!
Riku: So, you won’t accept my help, but you go begging to Roxas for help?!
Sora: (sweat-drops) Oh, hi Riku, I didn’t realize you were standing there…
Riku: What’s that supposed to mean?!
Sora: Uh…
Kairi: Um, Sora? Do you realize that Xemnas is getting away your pudding cup?
Sora: (turns red, then turns around and runs off) My pudding cup!!
Sora pulls his stick out again and continues chasing after Xemnas, who seems to be having the time of his life, when suddenly some small lights begin flashing at Xemnas’ feet, causing him to stop and dance about, trying to avoid them. A crackling sound can be heard.
Sora: (stops) Huh?!
Xemnas: Axel! What do you think you’re doing?!
The others look up at the nearby jungle gym where Axel (10) is standing on top of the monkey bars with his hands on his hips.
Axel: I can no longer just stand by while you bully Sora and Roxas, just because they left us!
Xemnas: You crazy pyromaniac! They betrayed us!
Axel: I’m not a pyromaniac, (jumps down) I just like to watch things burn. Got it memorized? (stands between Xemnas and Sora & Roxas, both of which look embarrassed) And if you want to mess with them from now on, you’re gonna have to deal with me!
Xemnas looks like he’s about to attack Axel when out of nowhere, InuYasha (10, ears appear to be a headband attachment) comes running straight towards Xemnas, carrying what appears to be a red ribbon.
Kagome: (7, in hot pursuit) InuYasha! Get back here with my hair ribbon!
InuYasha: (stops right before he’d hit Xemnas, turns to face Kagome, blushing) No way! It’s mine now!
InuYasha turns back around.
Kagome: Sit!
InuYasha falls flat on his stomach, knocking Xemnas flat on his back
Sora, Riku, Kairi, Naminé, Roxas, Axel & Kagome: (cringe) Ewww!!!
Xemnas: (red faced) What’re you doing?! Get off of me!!
InuYasha: I can’t… That witch put a spell on me, I can’t get up…
Kagome: Who’re you calling a witch?!
Xemnas: Excuse me, a little help?
Sora walks up to the two on the ground.
Xemnas: Sora! Buddy! Pal! I knew you’d help me!
Sora ignores Xemnas, bends down and takes his pudding away from Xemnas and the ribbon in InuYasha’s hand. He then walks up to Kagome and holds the ribbon out to her.
Sora: Here. Here’s your hair ribbon back.
Snow blows by as Xemnas (and InuYasha from contact) turns into an ice cube.
Xemnas: …Aw, man… …That was cold…
Riku: (crosses arms, sarcastically) Pft! Yeah, like you didn’t deserve it…
Kairi, Roxas, Axel & Naminé: Alright, Sora!
Reno: (walks up) Okay, what’s going on over here? (sees InuYasha and Xemnas) Get off of each other you two! That’s not appropriate!
Reno pries InuYasha off of Xemnas.
Axel: (looks up) Daddy!
Reno: (looks over at Axel, sees the matchbook in his hand) …You’ve been setting off firecrackers again, haven’t you?!
Axel: (tearing up) But, (points at Xemnas) Xemnas, was…
Reno: (grabs Axel’s wrist) I don’t want to hear about it! (starts pulling Axel towards the building) I’m taking you straight to Shinra-sensei’s office! Man! (turns to Miroku, who seems to also be a playground monitor) Miroku, can you cover the first five minutes of my next class? I have to deal with my kid…
Miroku: Sure.
Axel watches as Jean Havoc (who seems to be the janitor) cleans out his locker and comes out with two more strands of firecrackers and three matchbooks. Scene then changes to the principal’s office. Axel and Reno are sitting in front of the desk; Rufus is standing behind it, looking out the window.
Rufus: Axel is going to have to be suspended for the next three days. But Reno-sensei, this incident also raises the question of your parenting. You see this is the third time this month he’s been brought to my office for setting off firecrackers.
Reno: Third?! (turns to Axel) And just when were you planning on telling me about the other two, Axel?!
Axel crosses his arms and shrugs.
Reno: I am sooo sorry, Shinra-sensei, he’s like this at home, too. My wife and I have tried counseling, classes, everything; but nothing seems to be working. The kid just loves fire… But this won’t happen again, (turns to Axel) will it?
Axel: Probably not, it was mostly Xemnas who was making me do it, anyway…
Rufus: Hmmm… Seems this was a peer pressure problem… I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but this school does have a bit of a gang problem. Mostly bullies who’ve collected followers and pick on others. I’ve been trying to deal with it, but many of the kids are unruly. Your son may be part of one.
Axel: Not anymore… Seeing as I used the firecrackers on our leader, I don’t think I’ll be welcomed back…
Reno & Rufus: You set them off on another student?!
Axel: It was the only way to stop him from picking on these two who decided to quit a while back...
