My dad and I were talking the other day about experiences the two of us have had with the paranormal and it got me thinking about writing up my own as a journal entry.
The first to mention is this; I don't know where it comes from, whether I really saw her or if it was just something I made up, but when I think of my encounters, the image of a headless woman in colonial clothing comes to mind.
Now the first one that I remember specifically was when I was around ten. I was sitting on my bed when I looked up and saw a girl in all white just appear right in the middle of the doorway and walk off to the right towards my parents' room. I quickly jumped off the bed and looked around the corner, there was no one there.
Within the next year, I had also seen balls of light and... I just remembered seeing a head peek at me from around the corner once too...
The other was when I was about eighteen and I was laying down to go to sleep, oh I may want to point out that this was at a different house. A few years before this one we moved from the house I had the first encounters to the one we're living in now.
So anyway, I was laying down to go to sleep when I saw the shadow of an adult male from the other side of my window. Now, I was freaked out cause our current neighborhood has a history of peeping tom reports, and I think there was one going around at the time, so I thought it was him.
I lay there completely motionless, scared stiff, for about... I don't know, a minute or so, but it felt like an eternity... And eventually the shadow walked away. The second he was gone I ran out of the room and into my parents' room to tell them that there was a man outside my widow just now. My dad got up to check around the house.
Now, this was in the dead of winter, so there was like two feet of snow on the ground (or more). My dad walked around the entire house, came back in and told me there were no footprints anywhere near around the house except for the ones he made.
My mom says that I was probably dreaming, but I know I was definitely awake. And the shadow was too close and remained perfectly motionless for too long for it to have been our next door neighbor.
