In death, you are given four options for the afterlife. The blessed go to heaven. The sinners, to hell. Those who have yet to figure out why they have died are bound to earth, seeing everything as they did before their death. Lastly, you can be given another chance at life, as it was, that’s what happened to me.

As Jonathon Duncan, I was born on the first of February in the year of 1981. As Edward Wiltshire, my death date was on February the first of 1881. Exactly a century later, I was bound to a body, given a second chance at life.

    February 1st, 1881:

I cannot seem to be rid of this eerie feeling that I have. At the signs of early light, I woke up in a cold sweat. I cannot recall of what I had been dreaming, but I am sure that it was a nightmare. I have never felt this way before, I am afraid. I am afraid for my handsome son, my two beautiful daughters, and my wife to which I owe everything. My son, Alexander, a spitting image of his father in his youth, a handsome boy of just eighteen, brown hair, green eyes, and strong features to prove that he is manly. Elizabeth, born just a year after Alexander , beautiful and too smart for her own good, long brown hair and blue eyes to mirror those of her mothers. My last, Madeline, a mix of beauty as those of her siblings, long brown hair and green eyes, she has barely just turned twelve and already bursting with beauty. Finally, my wife Francesca, my beautiful angel, the mother of my children, she is the most beautiful woman I have ever set eyes on, from the moment I saw her, I knew we were meant to be together. I fear for their safety, something tells me to put it past me and just go to bed, another tells me to take my family far away from the home. I do not wish to worry them with my foolish thoughts, instead I will kiss them all goodnight and retire to my bed.
