The night was dark. Rebecca and Cathy paced a step behind me as we walked up the alley. There was no moon. No light at all. The only thing I could use to lead us out of this alley was my blind senses. We were almost to the end when there was a distant laugh behind us. I peered to my side. Rebecca and Cathy were now walking along side me.
Rebecca was smiling.
No one spoke, we just kept walking. My long black coat was just short enough not to touch the ground. I could feel it fly backwards, catching leaves. The footsteps behind us were faint. Seven, maybe eight of them were following us.
We stopped in our tracks. The footsteps stopped also. The three of us stood there for a moment, staring to the front of us, at our escape. I turned. So did the others.
And we stared at our enemies.
They were lined up. Just like us. Staring at us with their eyes full of hate. I was right. There were eight of them. Their bodies crouched and their noses crinkled. Their dark eyes were visible, even in the night. Their skin, hard as rock, appeared bright. Their clothes ragged, their feet bare. Not a scratch on their bodies yet their clothes were torn
Our enemies.
Vampires.
I could hear their snarls from here. I wasn’t afraid.
I reached behind me. My swords made a shine noise as I took them out of their holes. Rebecca took her guns out, keeping them at her sides. Cathy kept her fingers on her belt, ready to remove her razor sharps knives when needed.
This, right here, was what we were trained to do.
They made the first move. The two vampires on the outside took 3 long steps towards us. Rebecca and Cathy broke away from me, moving in opposite directions to take each of them out.
Cathy swung her knife straight out of her belt in one swift movement, watching her knife tear at the vampire’s skin. The silver penetrated almost instantly, he didn’t have a chance to do anything. His body fell to the ground and melted into silver goo, then evaporated.
Rebecca didn’t have to do much at all. Her first shot at the short, red haired vampire was a miss. He jumped high straight towards her. She took one long step to the side. Just as his feet landed on the ground, you heard a gun shot. Then there were only five vampires in front of us.
They all sprinted towards us, obviously now aware of our skills. Rebecca broke into a sprint, running hard just along the wall. Cathy did the same. Then I began to run.
I saw one heading directly for me. When he was about 4 meters away from me, I jumped up and off the wall, swing my blades at his neck. In one movement, he pushed his body backwards with intense speed, falling backwards on the ground. He pushed himself up and swung for me with his long fingernails. I ducked, and saw my chance. I shoved my blade right in his stomach, removed it then turned around to face the others.
Another jumped high in the air, spinning and landing on all fours. I braced myself. He growled and crawled towards me with speed. I jumped over him, doing a summersault in the air, quickly putting one of my swords back in its pocket while in the air. When my feet were on the ground I could hear him come up close to me. I elbowed him in the ribs, knowing that that only pushed him backwards. He tried to speed past me on my left side, but I knew he was going to do that. I moved my blade so that he would have to run straight into it to get past. I was right.
When he had evaporated, I turned to look at the others. They were still standing, weapons in hands and breathing heavily. We stood their, waiting for movement. And then it came.
Snarls and footsteps coming from every direction; above the buildings, inside the buildings and just outside the alleyway. There had to be twenty of them, or more.
We stood perfectly still, waiting for the worst to come.

Its sort of Buffy the vampire slayer and Twilight rolled together in one messy package. :D
