So... What can I say? I'm glad that Week #1 of me working at the academy is over. sweatdrop I mean, I like the fact that I have a job... It's just that it's hard work. There are times when it's better than others, but working with kids is strenuous nonetheless. I'm just glad that I survived the first week of it.
Well, what else to say? I think I finally got the hang of our schedules... sweatdrop Before it was kinda hectic for me to figure out what exactly to do in my classes, but I figured out that I can't teach my class like other people - I have to do it my way. And it works pretty well. I know that a lot of the teachers yell at their students (minus Paul who doesn't), but I figured that since students don't really respond too well to yelling (like I did) I give them the pros and cons of listening and working in class verses not doing anything. All I can say is that it works better than yelling all the time. Plus it saves me the energy too.
Mmm... what else. wink Oh yeah, I like the fact that we get to go on a lot of "field trips" to different places, but I gotta say that this first Friday was more than I expected. We went to the La Mirada Park and had Korean-BBQ for lunch and played games, and while that was all fine-and-dandy... I so~ didn't expect to be water-balloon/water-gun/water-bucket attacked near the end of the day. eek sweatdrop And what was worse, since I didn't know this I didn't bring an extra change of clothes, so I was soaking wet by the end of it. I had to drive home soaking wet in my car. Gotta say that that was a new experiance. whee I am so being prepared the next time we go to the park. twisted (Maybe even bring my own assult-weapons!)
Anyways, all in all, it was a pretty good week - despite the fact that Paul es-ca-ped from me on Friday before I could get a chance to weedle some gas money out of him. I swear, I don't mind going to pick the boy up in the mornings, it's just that his house if damn far and I need gas money to feed my poor car. It's either just cough up the money or buy me lunch or dinner. rolleyes Though I would perfer the gas money straight-up since that'll keep my car running. I have other ways of feeding myself (or getting others to feed me). rolleyes
So, I guess that's it. Nothing much to say other than that I've been sleeping most of the day today. sweatdrop I only got up for a few hours around noon to feed myself, then fell asleep again til around five. So, that's much needed TLC for my body that I completed today. 3nodding The only other thing left to do today is to soak in a nice hot shower and trim my bangs. heart
And yeah, until the time I got to shower, I'll be sitting here on my computer wasting time lurking here and there on Gaia. Mostly on my threads or others I think. wink So~ Talk to you all later~!
