Here we go. By the way this was meant to be the post of the 19, lately I slept but had no dreams this day sooo yeah… I worked on this for three days so cut me some slack. Anyways I still have some dreams/nightmares from two weeks ago that I have to get started on so later.
06/19/08
The tv is on the news channel.
Reporter: There is a uncooked chicken terrorizing the streets of salt lake city. Police have attempted to apprehend the wayward chicken but all attempts have ended in failure. For now, all help will be accepted. I through on my coat and picked up my knife kit and my carrying case, and set off on a mission to tame this troublesome chicken. When I got to the scene the chicken had a machine and blowing up cars.
Wayward Chicken: You want some of this!? You want some of this!? b***h! How do ya like me now, huh, how do you like me now!? HEY! YOU! You want some Kentucky fired chicken?
The chicken blows away an innocent pedestrian.
Wayward Chicken: Fry that b***h! Does everyone find me finger lickin good!? Do you all still want to nibble on my legs!?
The chicken saw…. Well I guess you can say ‘saw’, me standing not to far from him. It turned around and shook it’s guns threateningly at me.
Wayward chicken: How about you!? I know black people just LOVE their chicken!
Before it could pull the trigger I threw a garbage pail at it, knocking it over. I walked over it and unslinged my black carrying case. Removing a stand from the case, and setting it up, I place my cutting board on it. The chicken was a struggling to get to its… Feet?... Naw, nubs…. It struggled to get to its nubs. I picked it up and placed it on the cutting board. I pinned one of its winged joints and cut there with my French Knife.
Wayward Chicken: b***h ! You shanked me! You shanked me! I got your number, I’ll see you reeeeaaaallll soon you ******** N********!
Me: Yeah, I did. By the way I’m not black, I’m half. And no, you wont see me again, for this is your final hour.
I clipped off the other wing, the chicken screamed in fury and continued to yell more obscenities. I found it’s leg joints and clipped those as well. I broke down it’s ribs and continued to cut it in half. I produced a zip lock bag and put the dismembered chicken in the bag. As I walked away a redheaded school girl ran up to me with an envelope and hands it to me.
School Girl: You got guts sonny, my employer wants you to join our game show. Follow the instructions on the card. BYE BYE! She runs off… Guts? Guts for cutting up a chicken that had machine gun? Damn, we’ve fallen soo far as of courage. Anyways the next day I followed the directions to an open field. There were many ruined constructs in the area, it probably was a city at one point at time. Some of the streets were flooded, some were wreckage with floral substance, and others were in somewhat decent condition. There were a group of people in front of it all. I walked up to fined a man in a business suit, which has obviously been custom made with a s**t load of cash.
Mr. Fancy Suit: Good day ******. I am soo glad you made it for are little… Game. The object is simple… Survive your enemies.
With a clap of his hands he disappeared and it appeared that a barrier surrounded the area. I looked at my hand to find a envelope in it.
Me: A little vague isn’t he?
The people didn’t answer, they just stared at me then walked away. I looked at my envelope and it had a map in it along with instructions I joined shortly after they walked off but it was somewhat pointless since we ended up splitting and going our own ways. Note that this is part of the instructions given to me on the paper, also note I forgot to write that, I somewhat apologize. I came to a neat six story building and entered it, moving my way up to the top. It took me awhile since I had to find my way around some destroyed stair cases and such. By the time I made it to the roof of the building the sun was setting it looked beautiful but due to the fact I didn’t know exactly what my enemy was, I was kinda skeptical from expectation. I found the bag on the roof, just like the instructions say. Opening the bag I found my weapons, an assault rifle with a scope attachment (with limited ammo) and a knife kit. Inside the bag was another note.
Note: You have until 7:10 p.m. until you will face your enemy.
I looked at my watch, and what a coincidence, its 7:09… Woops 7:10. With that I heard a series of clanks and breaking structures. Many unholy cries could be heard. I looked down unto the street and saw a huge mob of people running amuck through the desolate streets. I decided to survey them a little more with the cope to find that these ‘people’ were instead zombies. Or what one could call zombies. Pieces of torn flesh, missing appendages, disemboweled stomachs, and least to say huge impalement marks adorn them which led me to my conclusion of the term living dead. I shot a few rounds and actually nailed one in the head. Unfortunately they saw me and started heading in my direction. I heard many crashes from down below as the zombies made their way up to me. I looked over at another building, the gap between the one I am on and the other isn’t to wide. I just have to aim carefully though because the building is much taller than the one I currently occupied. I took a running start. And aimed for the most probable window to land through. I run. Jumped off the edge and towards the window. I hit just beside the window. I peel from the wall I hit and started falling. I flailed wildly and caught a ledge on the side of the building. I struggled to pull myself up onto the ledge, I am entirely surprised to find that my assault rifle still remained over my shoulder and across my back. I used the butt of my rifle to smash the window in and climbed in. I looked out the window into the building I previously occupied and saw a nice squadron of zombies running as if there was an all you can eat buffet. I decided to run my a** all the way to the top of this building to get a look at my current environmental status. It didn’t take long for me to make it but I was horribly out of breath. The building I was on was an extra seven stories higher than the last. I saw the lower roof was being infested with six wandering zombies searching for me, I don’t know what they can do (for instance, possibly jump) so I held my fire. Gun shots rang in the air. I looked at the city. More gun shots followed. In the street in front of my building, I saw a car plowing through zombies then it suddenly stopped. Perhaps it got stuck on several over ran zombies, regardless the guy was in trouble. The driver’s window got smashed in, some bullets were given as a response to the undead assailant but soon the gunslinger was overpowered and ripped from his driver’s seat. A scream escaped his lips and he was devoured. Far off came an explosion in the city, I clearly saw it rise above the building surrounding it. More screams followed. I saw on of the women running to one of the buildings not to far off but she was followed by a huge pack of zombies. I needed help so why not her. I ran to the edge of the building looking for a way across, but the gap was too huge and it was a sky scraper. I looked frantically for a way over and found some rope. Luckily a piece of iron jutted out from the building. It looked some what unstable but it would have to do. I gave the rope a loop and tied the rope around me. I thrown the looped end around the jutted iron, I jumped off the edge and swung across the gap and smashed through the sky scraper glass. I rolled through the shattered glass I quickly regained my footing and ran across the ruined office spaces, without thinking I jumped through the other side and rolled on the other roof. The women was below me. I ran down the stairs and saw an elevator shaft, part way opened. I opened all the way and jumped on the cables and slid down to the main elevator box. The box shook violently and started moving downwards the light in the box turned on and revealed many zombies in it…. Now how the hell did they get in there? Regardless, I removed the top from it and looked down upon the undead group there. Quietly, I unslung my assault rifle and riddled them all with bullets. I plopped down there and heard more gun shots, must be from the girl. The elevator continued to move downward. I heard a ghastly moan right below me. I felt a decaying hand wrap around my ankle. I looked down, the zombies head darted toward my ankle, and a bullet darted through its brain. I just stood there waiting for the doors to open. I still heard the gun shots ringing like wedding bells. I aimed my rifle toward the door, just a feeling. The elevator stopped and a few seconds later the door open, revealing the back of a young woman, firing at many undead creatures. She turned around and her eyes grew huge to be staring down the barrel of an assault rifle.
Me: Down.
She ducked and I fired away. Mowing them down as they come.
Me: Get in!
It was hard yelling over the gunfire but she heard me and got into the elevator. I smashed the up button. I continued to fire bullets until the door closed. She stared at me, the eyes were filled with innocence. Now was the time for questions and answers.
Me: Okay. What’s your name?
She tapped a sign hung around her neck. It was a chalk board with that came a piece of chalk. She had written.
Chick: My name is Mute… I am also mute.
Damn. I made sure to talk slowly and carefully.
Me: Ok. Mute-my-names-******.
She looked annoyed. And quickly wrote.
Mute: I’m mute not deaf a** hole…
Ok, that was stupid of me. I looked up at the numbers above the elevator door, we were nearly at the top. I looked back at the ground at the zombie I blew away. I wonder what he would have done to break this uncomfortable situation. The elevator shifted and stopped, but we weren’t to the top floor about three more floors to go actually.
Me: We need to get to the roof. There’s a shed that we may spend the night in.
Mute:….Ok.
It being dark and all it took us awhile to find the stairs to the next floor. While exploring this floor we found another competitor. He looked rather feral, its quite obvious that he wasn’t expecting any of this. He was crouched down over something… Well turns out to be someone. It turns out to be another female competitor except she was bitten really badly. The male competitor stood up abruptly and waved his magnum revolver wildly.
Dude: HOLY s**t! HOLY s**t! HOLY s**t! WHO THE ******** ARE YOU!
Me: Jesus! Man, calm the ******** down! Ok? What happened?
Dude: Holy s**t… Holy s**t…
I back handed him to make him come to his senses.
Me: Calm down dammit! Now tell me what happened or I’ll do more than just slap you next time.
I pushed him backwards, but he remained his footing. He looked a bit calmer.
Dude: Wha-uh-well…. Well I was. We were going to team up and were going to shack up in this building, but it turned out that it isn’t completely freak free. A zombie came out of the ceiling and started nibbling on Nydia.
The only logical assumption is that the woman on the floor is named Nydia. She was beautiful, with the exception with many spots of missing (devoured) flesh among her body. She was still living. I crouched beside her and held her in my arms. Her eyes were vacant, expressionless. She took several more deep breathes and then croaked. The guy broke down then. He screamed and held his head by some sort of phantom pain. Out of the corner of my eyes, her eyes snapped opened, he mouth hung open and she lunged for my neck. A bullet whizzed through her head. I had forgotten all about Mute, standing close by quietly as a ghost. In shock the Man was silent. He took a few steps back and fell heavily backwards on the wall behind him. Then he slid to the ground gasping for air. I rumble was heard through the walls. Very low and more or less ghostly. But what wasn’t ghostly was the arms bursting through the wall and taking the delirious man. He screamed hopelessly as one of the undead bit into his neck. He disappeared behind the curtain of dead bodies.
Me: s**t! RUN!
And that’s exactly what we did. We ran. For the roof, of course. We had one more floor to go. Before leaving the door I took a medal rod beside it and wedged it just right so the door can’t be opened. Well, it won’t stay like that with ten or so zombies beaten against it. From there on we sprinted the rest of the way to the shed. Once inside the shed I began to barricade the door. First barring then placing various object in front of it. I slumped into a corner and was about to sleep. Mute staggered over and landed with a heavy plop, next to me. She quickly wrote.
Mute: I’m just sticking close to you incase of the zombies may come. Sides, the reason I’m this close is because I don’t want to hear you screaming in the middle of the night. So don’t get any funny ideas… Good job by the way.
With that said (written), she gave me a playful shove upside my head and leaned her head on my shoulder. All I did was smirk and allowed her to rest upon me. She smiled back and went fast to sleep. I’m pretty sure she’s scared, hell who wouldn’t be, in this situation? I wasn’t too worried, as long as we remained quiet and didn’t move soo much, the zombies shouldn’t be able to locate us. Leaving them to wanderer aimlessly on the roof. Little did I know, I was several seconds short of sleeping myself. After a bit of shifting Mute and I were both asleep as the zombies roamed the outside of our shed. The next morning the sun shone brightly through one of the cracks of the shed. But other than that (including Mute and myself) was the only movement going on. I got back up, placing Mute on the ground so she wouldn’t awaken. Then I carefully removed the barricade and cautiously opened the door with my assault rifle drawn. I walked outside and to my surprise, no zombies. Not even a moan. I then looked out over the edge of the building and looked down into the street to see some sort of monolith of bodies. They shifted and twisted until they formed an gigantic elephant, monster thing. It was indeed bigger than an elephant itself, I would have to say about ten times bigger than a regular elephant. Without even thinking thoroughly I ran to the entrance of the lower floors and made my way down to the street. The creature got up and engaged eye contact. For a moment it remained dormant but then it gave a ferocious roar. I opened fire on the undead gargantuan. It roared once more and charged. I continued to open fire upon it with little success of damaging it. I rolled out of its way as it rammed into the building behind me. I ran a little ways to a tipped motorcycle. I lifted it up and mounted it. I prayed for it to start. The creature was getting up again. After about five starts, it finally started. The creature turned around quickly and began to charge me again. I raced forward and dodged it while continuing to open fire on it. I dodged the beast several more times, the beast stopped in the middle of the street to face me. I decided to play chicken with it and made a bee-line straight for it. Unexpectantly, it’s trunk shot off towards me, it nearly hit me if I hadn’t of slid under it’s line of fire. I looked up to see that its projectile was linked by clumps of flesh and bone. I continued to slide right under it. I shot it under it’s stomach, it’s flesh had people’s faces imbued within it. After sliding, under it I turned around to see that the rear end of the monster. I then shot forward, there was a ramp and I hit it. Soaring above the abomination I bailed and landed on top of it. I started pumping lead into its back. In response to my attack a hand sprung forth and seized my ankle, then many arms and many heads followed. I shot them off of me, I was pulled down by one of them. It was about to bite my arm but I sent a bullet through its brain, I rolled off the edge of the beast and looked back. I brought my assault rifle up and pulled the trigger… But nothing happened. It was about to rear kick me but luckily I rolled out of the way. I was done for… I heard a gunshot and it hit the creature’s skull. I saw Mute on the roof, she waved downward to me. Then I saw a black block thrown from the roof. It landed at my feet. It was my knife kit! But knives can only do soo much to this behemoth. Regardless I felt a swell of faith from inside of me. I ripped my French Knife from it and ran towards my adversary. In the sunlight my blade glowed abnormally bright. In fact I think the blade itself was glowing. The creature was about to use its trunk again but I dodged it. I was to the side of it and sliced that same side. When the blade was in the creature’s flesh, it grew huge and it ripped a huge hole into it. The creature moaned and fell over. Was it dead. Or was it still living? I hand clamped on to my shoulder, I spun around to see the beckoner, it was only Mute. She held the chalk board in front of my face.
Mute: Lets get out of here.
Me: Agreed.
I found the motorcycle once again, she hopped on the back and we drove off. Within an hour we found a river. Hopefully this will be our way out.
???: Now, now. This isn’t the way it was suppose to be.
Me and Mute spun around to greet the mysterious voice.
Mr. Fancy Suit: Only one of you were suppose to live, not two. *sigh* Luckily our viewers were voting.
Mr. Fancy Suit, pulled out two items, one in each hand. In one, a gun. And the other a cell phone. He pointed the gun at the two of us.
Mr. Fancy Suit: Lets see what the viewer’s are saying? Hmm?
He flipped open the phone and punched in a few numbers, his face showed mocked surprise.
Mr. Fancy Suit: Ha, what a surprise. You both are tied. And the hours of voting are over…. But luckily for you two, I am the owner of this little game show and can bend the rules, allowing me to vote. But now the main question is who to kill? Who?.. Who?...... Who?
He was toying with us, we both knew that. He punched in a few numbers. I hope to god Mute lives. What do I have to turn back to anyway? A shitty life would be all. The gun pointed at me, I tried not to show relief. Then I didn’t have enough time to put on an act of no relief, the gun pointed quickly over to Mute and fired. She flung backward, I saw her mouth open and her eyes had shock mingled with fear. A tear rolled off her cheek into the air. She hit the ground.
Mr. Fancy Suit: Now that you’re the winner, there are many opportunities for you. Endorsements, contracts, commercials,-----
I didn’t listen. I refused to listen. All I heard was blah. Blah. Blah. I was staring intently at mutes dead body, He continued to talk. I slipped out a serrated knife and my French knife from my kit and slowly walked up to the Fancy Man. I turned him around and socked him in his great big old opened mouth, he flew backwards. I jumped on him and started ripping him apart with my knives. I screamed with anger, still slashing, still screaming. Blood washed over me. I was soaked with his blood. I now stood over his lifeless body and looked down at it. Then I turned my attention to Mute’s. I slowly walked over to her, to find that she still lived. I picked her up. She didn’t have much time. Her face were stained with tears. I didn’t imagine her to be one to cry, I could only imagine what kind of back round she came from that would cause her tears. I moved close to the river.
Me:……I’m soo sorry.
She gave a sad, kind smile… Then she was gone… Dead… I placed her body in the river and sent her off. The sun was shimmering upon the surface of the water and she followed the current of it until she was out of sight.
