Shreeder's Lifestyle Here and Afar
This journal is my life, which is very crazy, and currently in Japan!
KINCHOU SHITA
So, lets see, today today today. I woke up really late and was in a rush again to get to work, of course, this is me, but when I walked outside, it was raining like retarded. I got to work absolutely soaked, and yes, of course I had my umbrella. It doesnt really matter in a Japanese typhoon induced rainstorm. I might has well put my slippers on my feet and swam to work.

So I get there and remember that my teacher will be coming, but instead of studying for that dreaded encounter, I go to the editing studio and start working on a long 13 minute clip that will be used in the Evening 5 news on Friday afternoon. Also, I got to see the production of a "Making of Nihon Chinbotsu" clip, which was awesome. I plan on seeing the movie on Saturday with no English subtitles. Wish me luck!

But yeah, I ate lunch and talked with the Co-workers, and at 1:30 I went and worked on reading news reels with an Announcer, and man, that is ridiculously difficult. The kanji is all over the damn place and I cant read a lick of it. He had to tell me the reading for every word, and then BAM, my sensei shows up with like 4 other people, and they're just gonna watch me study.

Of course the article im working on is about Asahi and Kirin beer stocks....

AND I dont know all the kanji that my teacher already taught me....

Long story short, it was quite Taihen. Kinchou shita. If you know what I mean. And of course, I didnt even use the Keigo that I studied.

So not long after that, I went home (the TV department is no where near as exciting as the radio department, but at least I get to use crazy equipment and see movies and stuff), and at home, I had a delicious dinner with my host dad, and found out that 20 some odd people of his Buddhism SGI sect were coming over tomorrow, which should be interesting. Sadly, my host stay sister is still at work so I cant talk to her as much as I did yesterday about American and Japanese culture, but there's always more time for that.

Speaking of which, the calender is dwindling quite quickly... I better start doing some crazy things with all the money I have left before I skidaddle out of this coutnry.

My next plan is, besides hitting up more dance classes, is to dance at 8-Hall club on Saturday, and to buy a bunch of books to study Kanji. If I am to live in Japan after college, I MUST learn this damn Kanji. I cant be that retarded foreigner who cant read. Being illiterate is totally not acceptable hahahah

Well, I guess imma practice some break dancing and do some stretches before I go to beddy bed. Oh, my eyes arent AS bad as yesterday, but they are still incredibly itchy. Its prolly just the weather and the changing of the seasons. The Ajisai bloomed a while ago so I dont know what could be causing it... but im pretty sure its just dust or something.

Whatever.

Alright, gonna go stretch. Catch you on the flip.
