So I've been pretty busy and lost in the Japanese Cyberspace, so I haven't wrote in the journal in a couple days, but a LOT LOT LOT actually happened! hahah Sorry about that. Let's see....
Well, okay. Friday! Let's start there. So Friday in the television department is retardedly hectic! We had a J-Rock start slide in to do a video take, we did pre-runs of the Evening 5 news, we actually DID the evening 5 news, and that looks a lot more stressful than I ever expected. I actually got yelled at to sit down and move out of the way of the frantic tech crews. Yipes.
In other cool news, I got to watch the taping of a Japanese Sign Language translation for a TV show, which was neat because I got to talk to the lady about the differences between JSL and ASL, which are huge. lol I finally know what Jeff was talking about when he said JSL was weird, cuz it totally is.

So, my memory is fading fast of this day, so I'll skip to the juicy parts. I go to the twisted leg statue at Korinbo and wait for Jon to show up, and once he does, we also spot other Gaijin from the PII program, so we decide to tag along. They are on a mission from the Mexican food Gods to find the ONLY Mexican restaurant in Kanazawa (possibly all of Hokuriku...) so we finally, after desperately searching, find the place, and it's closed. Then they go on a hunt for Corona beer.... but Jon and I had enough escapades and we jump into my favorite Ramen shop in Japan which is, one again utterly fantastic (and every time I let the chef know so. He actually remembers me from last year and everyone that was with me at the time. Whoa.)

After coordinating on the cell phone, Michelle trots in and we all head to the dance studio to watch girl hip hop, and eventually Jon gets the heck outa there along with Michelle. Penny and I stay and talk to Tammi sensei about dancing and stuff, and Manier, and I figure I am not gonna go tonight. I was planning on going to get some drinks, but with Lock class coming up next, I had to wait. Also, Tammi said she was gonna do the class as well, which means I could see her dance (seeing a hot girl dance is a very tantalizing experience... it could reduce the hot factor to almost nothing OR quadruple it. The latter was greatly appreciated.). We talked to her about diSiac and asked her about her group (a duet with her sister, a group called APE).

So Penny bounced, and I did Lock class with a bunch of older people, and it was a blast because the dance style is SO different than anything in America. I learned a move called the Pimp Walk. Cmon now. Anyway, the sensei was a real cooky guy named Iguchi. He wore this straw hat that had this housefly that practically lived on the thing (we couldnt get it away no matter how hard we tried). so I worked hard, the class ended, and I was too tired to do anything resembling drinking, so I headed out, and Tammi called me real powerful. Well, its a start...? lol
