We arrived at Aqua's house near the park where we'd go to hang out, but why did she call us over right after the mid-term? It was something that had never happened before, because we all did our own thing after a test like that to relax. So, what's the occasion today? Then Ruby rang the door bell, but no one answered. We waited a little while then Eric rang the bell four dozen times.
Then Ruby hit him over the head with a nearby pot that was just sitting there. "Eric," Ruby screamed at him, "don't ring the bell that much!"
"Umm, can I try something," Terra asked.
"Sure, but I don't think anyone's home," I said, but it felt a little strange when I said that. Why would Aqua call us over to her house and not be there? Something was off about this.
Terra went up to the door and turned the handle. "Oh, um, guys. It's unlocked," Terra said as she smiled at us. "If all else fails, try the handle. It's something my dad told me to do when you can't open a door any other way."
"Oh, so we don't need to break in," Chris said disappointed.
"Where did you get that pipe from," Eric asked a little confused.
"CHRIS!!! You weren't going to do what I thought you were going to do, WERE YOU," Ruby yelled out. "Being a punk is one thing, but a criminal is another!"
Chris shrugged his shoulders and dropped the pipe where he was, and walked inside Aqua's house. It was rather dark inside. Aqua's house was always a very bright place. But, I lost my train of thought when I saw a sign next to a candle.
"Hmmm...," I just looked at it and read it aloud, "'take your shoes off.' Okay... This is getting really strange."
"You're telling me," Eric said a little freaked out. "Aqua's house is almost never like this."
"I like what she's done with the place," Chris said smugly. "What?"
We just stared at him as if he were a complete nut-job. But, this was strange. But, it only got stranger when the door closed behind us and locked.
"Um, guys," I said, "I think we've walked into a trap."
