My Valentine (part 3) by R&Z

Upon arriving home Val's mother put him straight to work. Just when he was about to relax from working today. However he didn't complain, he had no reason to, other then he was tired, stressed, and annoyed.
"Val don't forget to clean you're room after those chores of yours." His mother said reaching down for Charity to begin her bath. Val sighed and smiled at Charity as she turned her head to face her brother.
Val got half way into the laundry before their washing machine broke down. The ancient machine was in for a good beating but Val held back his punch and washed the cloths himself outside. He was dead tired after finishing his cloths and his mothers. Charity's cloths were not that much so he put a bit more effort into washing them.
The afternoon transformed into night and Val was exhausted. He climbed upstairs to his room and collapsed on his bed. He had no energy left to clean the pig sty of a sleeping area he called his private space.
He slept away into the next afternoon. Valentine was known for being a great deep sleeper. Nothing could wake him, except for his mothers screams. "Valentine you wake up this instant you hear me!" She shouted in his ear. Valentine had no choice but to do as she ordered and rose from his bed feeling the cold air around him. "You slept through the service and lunch!" She began ranting about how he had become lazy all the sudden. The fit teenager had only wanted a day's rest, and he had figured his only good argument was Sunday was a day of rest for everyone.
Of course his mother didn't take that argument and put him straight to work at the community hall garden festival that day. Valentine sighed as he slipped on a pair of old track bottoms and gray t-shirt. His sneakers were in bad shape already so he didn't see the need for a different pair at the festival.
Once his little family arrived at the festival everyone was greeting his mother and playing with Charity's little hands. Of course Valentine got the occasional nod and hand shake. Some would even make little comments about him saying "Taking care of your mother at 18, you should be married! haha" or "You should be running the town not running around haha." Things like that were what made him hate the town so much.
The day seemed to stretch out longer then Valentine was hoping for. He had been all around the park in many different booths...however he never expected to be the fill in for a kissing booth. He sat there on the stool kissing countless girls and handing them a daisy after kissing. What Val hadn't intended on seeing in the line was the same boy from yesterday. There he was, behind a short blond from his school. His grin nearly made him blush again. The stranger got closer after ever girl and just after kissing that short blond girl. He stood there for a few seconds and grinned.
"Uh...this...is...for girls only..." Valentine said sitting up straight blushing. He didn't see a change in the boys face. His light blue eyes stared him down and the dirty blond bangs of his fell to one side overing one of his eyes. "Yes, well...there's no sign saying 'Girls Only'...so...may I have a kiss or will my dollar go to waste?"
Valentine sat there listening to the girls complain about the waiting and finally leaned forward kissing the stranger over the lips. The boy stared at Val and kissed him back just before pulling back and stretching out his hand. "My flower please?" He asked charmingly. Val was in a bit of a surprise he hesitated just before handing him a daisy. The girls all let out a sigh and watched the boy walk off as though nothing had happened.
